The Yzerplan is now 7 years old and Detroit is still not taking the next step. In that same period of time, Montreal climbed to the cup final, fell to last place, went into a full 3 year rebuild and are now back on top.
They let the other team carry the play most the game, show up when it's too late, and then collapse at the end. They have no fore checking or speed to keep dumping and chasing the puck.
