The Red WIngs story is them becoming the Dead Things, Larkin's 'hometown boy winning it all in his homestate as the captain' doesn't matter and that issue is what needs to go – EMBRACING THE DEAD THINGS ONCE MORE needs to happen before that's going to happen. End the cute little story, and maybe they can avoid becoming the Dead Things again.

My issue, one of many, is that when you have a 1 goal lead late in the game you need to make a concerted effort to not make it easy for them to pull their goalie. They need to aggressively forecheck and force turnovers. They always play right into making it convenient for the opponent to pull their goalie.
Even if the Wings do somehow make the playoffs they ain’t beating anyone anyway
