One positive development on Oiler fans, this season they are blaming goaltending and defence as the problem for the team compared to last year where every loss was blamed entirely on the referees.
Jarry sucks but bouchard had the chance to stop that short handed goal and gave up.

I usually hate putting blame on goalies, but God Jarry was shocking. If this was just one of a few bad nights I could defend him a little (its not like defense was great) but he has been atrocious this whole time – a passable night is an outlier. The only shred of credibility Bowman has going for him right now is the Blackhawks trade and Ingram (for now). Overall frustrating. Though I do hope we play Utah over Vegas just for some playoff variety lol

Let's remember the 23/24 season. Vancouver beat us in the regular season every single game. But when it came to the playoffs and what mattered, the Oilers beat them. Sending them into a rebuild and us to the next round.

It feels like this team has taken all the wrong lessons from the last 2 years. Shuffling the lines really sparked something in the playoffs 2 years ago, now they Shuffle every night. Mc-dri was their most effective line in parts of last years cf, scf, now they just send them out whenever any bit of struggle appears. They changed their style to try to match the panthers better, now they are more vulnerable to cycle heavy teams and the panthers aren't even in the playoffs.
At this point it makes little difference! Oilers will be golfing soon!!! NO Way they advance anywhere!!! (Except the links)
