The Montreal Canadiens pulled off another dramatic comeback, edging the Florida Panthers 4-3 in a shootout at the Bell Centre.

Nick Suzuki tied the game with just 21 seconds left, sending it to overtime before Cole Caufield and Alexandre Texier sealed it in the shootout. Ivan Demidov and Phillip Danault also scored in regulation, while Juraj Slafkovsky added two assists and Jakub Dobes made 30 saves in the win.

The Canadiens continue to surge down the stretch, winning 9 of their last 10 games as they push for top spot in the Atlantic Division.

  1. I think the TB game is the perfect game to get them off this whole milestone chase and back to thinking about winning only. Surely the first line will just go out and play against the team they are tied with for first. Hopefully they’ll do that and Cole will score anyway.

  2. The "fans" thinking that Cole was telling the crowd to "STFU" are the fans I wish would "STFU" and go away…..go cheer for Ottawa or something, God damn….

  3. Ivan, you are a truly great player and the Habs are very fortunate to have you. I hope you stay with the HABS your entire career and win many Stanley Cups. The fans in Montreal all love you as a great hockey player!

  4. I don't get what you guys see in balduk
He never wins a puck battle. He's just a passenger

    The Zamboni stanchion
Has two assists in the last couple weeks.more than bulduk And has probably hit more people

  5. So here we go again, we win due to pure talent but laid an egg for 50 minutes. This is unacceptable and can't just be blamed on the players. Marty is the one that has to wake them up when they aren't playing the right way. SOOO many 'fly bys' again I lost count, several were pure out 'blah, I'll just skate by' that turned in to FL opportunities requiring Dobes to stand tall. Its not that they can't play the right way, we saw it in the last 10 minutes, we've seen it before. Forget about 50 (Cole), 100 (Suzuki), 70&30 (Slafs) and just play. I mean damn, Cole is getting primary assists and they're beautiful ones, how about asking about those? Praising him for his setup skills etc. Nick said that their goal is 'top spot in the conference' (not just the division)…ok Nick, play like you deserve it…the 3rd FL goal wasn't 'fluke', it was a good tip because Nick didn't do his job to tie up the players stick (its ok to point out Nick hasn't been playing great either). As I keep saying its not the result its the 'how', with 4 games left Marty needs to start banging heads if they keep playing this way…that's his only job right now.

  6. Gotta agree with you on Hage Marco. Regardless of injury or not, or how well he's played in the NCAA, the Habs aren't in the 'try out' level of a rebuild. We're out of the rebuild and in to contender (or 'near contender' for you Marco). Heck, I'd be playing him on the 3rd or even 4th line to start next year. Hage isn't Demidov, he's not going to just light up the league off the bat. I'm sure we'll all eventually love him but its 'earn it' territory, especially right now, especially in the playoffs. NOW, if we don't have anything to really play for in the last game or 2, sure maybe give him a shot higher up (if he plays at all). Give him the carrot by signing him, and a bit of the 'stick' to get him to understand he has to earn it.

  7. Well yes; everything you say is true… and
It’s just like it was in the late 70’s … I lived it; it was great and this crew is headed in that direction… So
