Kyper is on point with Mehta— different type of job with Toronto. Putting him into this spot for his first ever GM gig. He’s not Zito or Hughes. Mehta would need hell of insulation, President Hockey Ops who works the media plus top notch scouts and executives

These front offices have had so much nepotism for so long. Having a firm is a good decision. It's good business. The "smart people" just keep hiring the same hockey guys. The real in depth searches turn up smart and innovative new people.
Kyper loses credibility. I don’t have a problem with Neil being the search firm while he represents candidates will get paid more if his guys get hired …because Neil and I were business partners he’s a great guy!!
