WORST time to leave the net! 😳

Oilers goalie Connor Ingram loses his stick in the corner and goes to retrieve it, but the timing backfires as Macklin Celebrini grabs the puck near the blue line and fires it into the open net before the goalie can get back.

  1. 3rd lowlight in the past couple weeks where McDavid was doing his best Ovechkin "Controller UUnplugged" impression.

  2. No goal due to offside. At 0:04 of the video a Sharks player near the boards and just feet from the referee (who raises his left arm to call the offside) is trying (and failing) to exit the offensive zone before Celebrini takes the puck across the blue line. "…a play is offside if a player on the attacking team does not control the puck and is in the attacking or offensive zone when a different attacking player causes the puck to enter the offensive zone, until either the puck or all attacking players leave the offensive zone." – Wikipedia.

  3. Ingram was good 3 years ago but now cant get out of his own head…a look at the Oilers upcoming schedule shows this team is in trouble..may miss the playoffs if they dont upgrade their D and goaltending in next 5 days…

  4. I feel like your body is more useful than your stick as a goalie, seems risky to go for the stick and leave a wide open goal.

  5. As a Junior B/C liney making my way up the ranks, that was an abysmal miss of an offside. It’s hurting me looking at this freeze-frame.

  6. #96 and #25 of Oilers did the same play #29 of Canada during Olympic GMG, failing to easily poke the puck out of possession. Is it me or is this just hockey plays? Is it that hard to try or something? Or is it that they under estimate the outcome of the possession.

  7. STU anyone? Terrible trade. Massive mistake. Let’s trade a guy that was a huge part of back to back cup runs

  8. Why walman wouldnt shovel his stick back to him will forever not make sense to me. He skated directly by it.

  9. Man I hope Oilers can win a cup soon. It’s about time they do. McDavid needs to bring out that same player when he first entered the league just scoring all on his own without hesitation

  10. The Oilers are really falling apart goaltending sucks defense sucks. They have two guys on the offense that are great, but one of them is out.. the other one is questioning himself on if he should’ve signed that extension
