Paul Maurice, Panthers Postgame: Florida Loses Late Lead, Kulikov in SO Loss to Montreal Canadiens

The Panthers were swept in their weekend Pittsburgh series by a total of 14-6 but had a lead here until Nick Suzuki scored with 20.1 seconds left.

Florida also lost defenseman Dmitry Kulikov to a broken finger.

The Panthers got goals from Carter Verhaeghe, Cole Reinhardt, and Eetu Luostarinen with Daniil Tarasov getting another start in net.

Florida was without Matthew Tkachuk after he returned to South Florida for the birth of his first child.

The Panthers continue their five-game road trip with Game 3 in Ottawa on Thursday.
