  1. If McDavid wanted to inject some life into his team, maybe instead of taking shots at people he should have taken some shots on goal.

  2. Give Ritzy 14 he’s the second coming of Benn. He gives no fs! Just like the beast Benn. Jamie is my boy. But Ritzy is becoming one of my favs behind Wyatt and Jamie.

  3. Passing down 14 to players deserve it through the years is a sign of respect almost as big or as good as having it in the rafters. It’s honoring his legacy but placing those expectations on future guys who exhibit those qualities is a cool idea. Just like 88 with the cowgirls. That’s a good idea though Joey. 14 means, grit, determination, strength, leadership, hard work, stoicism, mean, angry, mentorship, unhinged, maybe even going off the rails at times, and generally not giving a f and doing what it takes to get in the face and under the skin of your opponent. 14 is Stars Hockey. Hope Jamie stays around for a while longer. Old or not. Hard to imagine this team or organization without him. I’m sure he will stick around in some capacity. But I just really enjoy watching him tear it up out there. Even when he’s not having a good night. Having him on the roster is almost a comfort. No bs with 14. What you see is what you get. He’s a veteran. He’s earned everything he’s gotten too. Scratching and clawing. Benn is the beast. My boy!

  4. 27 was my number. Shane Churla was why I picked that number too. Saw him. I was like “yep 27 is for me” lol. Those were the days.

  5. My notes from the game:
The scrums were needed. The hits were required, but McDavid was out of line with throwing Wyatt’s head into the glass. McDavid should’ve been ejected.
The officiator 36, needs to go back to school.
The boys played with something to prove. That’s revenge for WCF.
Been maintained his composure while Edmonton melted like butter.
#14 should be retired if he gets us the WCF win. Benn has been my boy for a very long time, but that sweater has to be hard earned to be hung from the rafters, or to get a statue.
He can do it! He’s elite status. But he’s gotta push harder than ever for two more months to earn that kind of glory in Dallas.

  6. Wheee! Are we having fun or what? Love Ritzy, showing he's got some goon in him.

I think after we scored those first two goals so early in the game, that was it for the Oilers. Even though they scored later, Stars had already gotten under their skin. Stars, just keep that collective foot on the gas pedal!

Interesting take on using #14 for future captains, following the pattern of the #88 for the Cowboys. I can see it either way, passing it on or leaving it for Jamie Benn alone. Yes, we want a Stanley Cup for Jamie.

  7. So much hate on Benn has gone around for so long now and it's crazy, that man sticks up for every young guy on the team, one of the first to drop gloves even in his later years, picks the head up of all the young guys, takes a minimum to come back to try and get a cup! Reminds me so much of Dirk and how he took less in his late years to bring talent to win the championship in 2011. Hope we win the cup this year, that man deserves it! If we win the cup this year I bet he hangs it up, but to come so close and be right there and lose the finals and come back 3 years in a row to try and get back to the finals, I don't see him calling it quits until he gets the cup or comes to realize it's not going to happen anytime soon! Benn is a true captain!!!!

  8. On the stars Facebook, they showed everyone walking in and what time they got there. Ritzy was 1st (30 minute before anyone), and Benn was 13th…. If he could produce just a little more points, I’d vote for him as captain

  9. Agree No Way Ritzy Should have been called for Roughing…If the Stars can do this against McBaby and Dry, there's no reason they can't do it to McKinnon and Maker.

  10. 1) Any Concerns Mikko Return Disrupts the current Chemistry? (not that I'd pass on having him return, just seeking thots)
    2) Joey was very Positive on Bunting and not so much on Myers…. Am I wrong or is Myers actually making more of a contribution right now? What's going on with Bunting, never here him mentioned on the broadcasts.

  11. and here i am. eating my own words because i thought we were out for the finals with our best guys out for injuries. that was a NASTY goal with duchene tho 😩❤️

  12. The refs know that Dallas is up multiple goals so they were trying to make it less of a blowout by matching minors. It’s not right but it’s the way the league operates
