  1. Miller is known to be a player of high intensity, one who holds others very accountable, and a guy who is often verbal and is not shy toward confrontation. Whilst, this rubs some personalities the wrong way, most great leaders have exemplified those exact same traits. However, that style of leasdership requires exemplary play to maintain its effective authority. If guys cant look to Miller and see a guy who is holding himself accountable through production on the ice, than it sours really fast. However, in Vancuever Miller's play was still exemplary and showed no signs of decreasing, yet they still chose the emotionally timid youth prospect in EP40 who IMO has the same demeanor as many Canadians do w their passive-aggressiveness and discomfort and avoidance of direct confrontation… (its the same in my State of MN "MN nice")… I think Vancuever made the incorrect decision choosing EP40 over Miller, and even pre-dating that when trading away Horvat. They didn't need an emerging star centerman… they needed productive centermen, and they had two very good ones! It seems like personality differences between Canadian temperament in organization/fandom and w EP40 himself resulted in Miller being shipped out. However, the hate he gets from Canadians, especially Canucks fans is unwarranted. Canadians describe an uncontrollable bull in a China shop when speaking about Miller. Miller never did anything for the Canucks but produce on-ice and had that team humming before he left! Probably chased Quinn out… I can empathize w the desire for a fresh start w new young players and a different energy, but is that just all for not if the organization doesn't do some reflection and hold themselves accountable for previous mistakes and errors in judgement by management? Canuck fans speak about Miller leaving like they got rid of their cancer, and many of us looking on thinking the Canucks never really discarded the real cancer there!
