Canucks called up Clayton because Mancini is a stiff. They'll still re-sign him in the summer, but he has no future in the NHL

Kopitar's 1500 games with one team is what makes it even more unique. Only Lidstrom, Ovechkin, Yzerman and Alex Delvecchio have done that with one team.
As a Habs fan, I think Buffalo will make a long playoff run this year. they are amazing.
Good for Parayko! He was given that contract and has every right to use his no trade clause.
If he does move, he will be sorely missed in St. Louis, he has contributed as lot to the community.
Isn't it a bit of bad form for a team to trade a player who has a no-trade clause w/o getting that player's buy-in first? It seems … classless on the part of Blues mgmt. Or is that just me?

I'm just stunned the Capitals traded Nic Dowd for nothing. He was an absolute steal at $3M annually, is one of the most important locker room voices behind basically only Tom Wilson and Ovi, and has for my money been the best 4th-line center in the NHL for the past 5 or so seasons. I just can't fathom what they were thinking trading him for a song and a dance and a second-string goalie when they already have two star goalies in town. Insanity.
That NCAA video idea sounds interesting to me. I’d say do it.

ALSO: No the Avs don’t need Kadri you’re absolutely right, they DON’T need another 35 year old that will be gassed after 2 shifts, especially if he’s playin the third line, they’re the run-n-gun line… They’re already an old team. Like 60-70% of their line-up is over 30.. MacKinnon is 30 this year (somehow), Landeskog is 33, Lehkonen is 30, Nelson is 34, Manson is 34, D. Toews is 31, Burns is 40, and then Kiviranta is about to turn 30 in a couple weeks. They’re already too old to be adding another 35 year old to their lines. He DOESN’T produce nearly what he did in 2022 now. He’s about done he’s got maybe 2 years left in him at most.

Roy for a 1st & … Garland for a 2nd 3 seasons in the future & … THAT'S Canucks "Super Management" !!! They lose value on this move, AGAIN, by having created a contract so OVER-PRICED (like ALLLLLLLLLLL their contracts have been !!). Don't commend anyone for this deal; this is management CLEANING UP their OWN MESS, and naturally, getting LESS VALUE for what they paid to create it. TRADE ALLVIN AND RUTHERFORD for a 2nd Rnd 2029… or ANYTHING !!!
All the dumasses saying Thomas said no to buffalo is wrong. Never was a trade finalized. Like parenyko. Noy reported on nhl network the sabres said no to that lopsoded deal. Thomas has what 14 goals. He aint super sweet for 1st a 3rd our top prospect Jack quinn Mrtka.
Honestly, with the Parayko non trade, the issue is that it leaked. And I can almost guarantee that it didn’t happen on Army”s side. I’m on a cruise now and so I originally just saw that on the espn ticker. These “insiders” are going to end up nixing a trade one of these days (I feel like it’s happened before) by blurting out information too early.
The no movement clauses in some these NHL player contracts for players that have not been in the league for more than five years and with the same team for five years are causing some serious problems for several franchises.There should be a 5/5 rule be negotiated in the next collective bargaining agreement meaning that no one should be able to get any no trade clauses included unless you have five full years of NHL service and on the same team for five years this is a topic that every fan should demand the NHLPA and NHL Board of Governors make a serious attempt to change for the good of the sport.😮😮🎉🎉😮😮
