Mikulas Hovorka Plays in his Second NHL Game with Florida Panthers, First on Home Ice

Florida Panthers defenseman Mikulas Hovorka meets the media before his team plays the visiting Boston Bruins on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The Panthers will be without defensemen Aaron Ekblad (broken finger) and Dmitry Kulikov (broken nose).

Toby Bjornfot and Hovorka have come up from Charlotte.

Hovorka will play in his second NHL game after making his debut with the Panthers in Tampa before the Olympic break. This will be his first home game.

The Panthers are a loss away from being eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs; Boston is in pretty secure standing and will return to the postseason.

After tonight, the Panthers play a back-to-back doubleheader this weekend against the host Pittsburgh Penguins.
