This is such a weird take. You can clearly see the retaliating back kick catch Ghost in the cup. Yes it was a hit from behind, but Ghost didn't hurt himself doing it.
Totally agree with the idea of adding a blatant check from behind like that as a penalty, at least in theory.
Granted my primary sport is (outdoor) lax, so it's just difficult in general to not kneejerk react to an intentional check from behind being legal like this.
