In this video we take a deep dive of the Detroit Red Wings and how they may continue to own the longest playoff drought in the NHL

  1. But it is. And I’m over this team. They don’t care why should we? Complete walking embarrassment.

  2. It’s a leadership problem. Wings have a soft captain, and the big players they have are just as soft. They also aren’t giving everything they have, looks more like they’re more interesred in going fishing or playing golf than making the playoffs.

  3. Honestly they are lacking leadership and skill. Guys flying around doing their job poorly. No one to rein them in and make them play like their job is on the line

  4. As a lifelong Redwing fan, I can say with all confidence that the franchise is back to the Detroit Deadthings of the 70s and 80s. We have no star players. No Federovs, no Yzermans, no Lidstroms, no Datsyuks. We have some decent players, but nobody that is going to lift this team.

  5. This is what happens when you dont want to trade assets for assets. All we have done is sign 4th line players and put them into situations that they dont excel at. Let's keep hoping for next year. The young guys I swear dude their going to hit the big time. Next year dude.

  6. Sorry Red Wings fans, but after they traded their unprotected first round pick to the Blues, I've been slightly rooting for them to miss the playoffs.

Nothing personal, though it does bring to mind the rivalry the wings and blues had when they shared a division…

  7. I’m a lifelong Colorado Avalanche fan born in 2003. I share that so that the people know I have no love for Detroit. That being said, the league just feels different when they are good. I’m not rooting for them to be the best, or to beat us, but I want em back up on top soon. I also went to school in Michigan and really enjoyed all the wings games that I went to… in my Avs jersey

  8. As a Wings fan, thank you. This team needs to be scrutinized as much as the Leafs for their failures. Any other GM would not have been given as many years with these results as Yzerman has. This squad is more despicable than the 2019-2020 team that didn't even win 20 games. That team was supposed to be bad. What's this team's excuse?

  9. Fire Yzerman. Trade Larkin where he wants and anyone besides Seider and Debrincat get shipped. Fucking waste of ten years

  10. The Red Wings are -7 in goals for and against for the season. They are pretenders and even if they somehow squeak into the playoffs – they’ll be out in the first round.

  11. Unfortunately for the wings, the Penguins are possessed by the hockey gods to give Sid, Geno, and Letang one last run.

  12. i honestly dont even count the first 3-4 years of this yzerplan. he spent the first half of his tenure cleaning up hollands mess. they dealt with multiple coaches and this year was this first one in the rebuild that i was like okay this actually is starting to come together. people are so impatient and conveniently forget this point on top of the human aspect. most of his drafted players are only just starting to develop into NHL caliber players. I think he gets 2-3 more years. we need to at least wait until the Cossa / Augustine tandem is up and running. by that time all their stars will be in the prime and im sure they will attract free agents by then too. its a work in progress but if youre a real fan this shouldnt be hard to get your head around.

  13. I hope we manage to squeeze in there, I hate to say it, but your mid season skepticism reigned true. These might be hot takes but the four nations and the Olympics both killed our momentum last season and this one, and I feel like the nhl style of trading doesn’t do anyone any favors

  14. Did I just see that Joe Veleno is the best forecheck on the Habs? That was definitely not on my bingo card
