As a leaf fan. I want Gudus on our team big time. That guy showed major class. Mathews needs him for protection big time. He is a dirty player but he showed he is a man at the end of the day.
Very dirty hit on Matthews, he did deserve more of a suspension but he did apologize to Matthews. And if you look at the fight closely he looks like he is saying I deserve this. He was injured, he didn't have to show up to the game, so I give him credit for that. I hope he learned his lesson. You can play tough, hey its hockey but don't be dirty whereas it ruins a players season. And with or without Matthews, the Leafs were not making the playoffs.
