I am emotionally invested in the Sens making the playoffs. But if it comes at the expense of a guy's mental health (which we all know where that could ultimately lead) its not worth it and I'll get over it.
And if you're literally getting angry about sports and its affecting YOUR mental health maybe take a break folks.
NHL needs to adopt NFL style contracts where they can cut players and void the rest of their contract. You are paid 8.5m to be the man when it matters most, and "being tired" is a lame ass excuse.
Everyone talks about Ullmark. Why does no one mention Staios, who's the one responsible for Sens goalie situation all season? First didn't sign anyone although Leevi was still waivers exempt. Then DID NOTHING until mid January while watching Sens goaltending fall apart. Also, he gave Ullmark the 8 million contract before Linus played a single game for the Sens.
While we are all on Ullmark for not showing up, and rightly so, how βbout our captain who showed a heightened level of immaturity the entire game in Tampa. I am very disappointed in Brady as well as Ullmark. They are 2 very big pieces of the equation and they both have issues from the neck up!!
I thought it was a stupid signing. A hail Mary pass that you hope solves your crease issues. A number one that you know can't play more than 50 games. What do you do in net if you make the playoffs and your goalie needs a vacation every third and fourth game?

Whatever happens trade him in the summer
For all the talk about being sensitive to mental health issues, I think Wally just said they don't matter in the NHL when playoffs are on the line.

I would not have him played him last game. Reimer had been steadier. Ullmark is delicate needs to share the starts
Guy has been lying about his mental illness, it doesnt just come and go lol
