Why wouldn't have you posted this video after the Wilson hit?
This was the play that started all the shenanigans in this game. If this is handled correctly by the officials the other stuff likely doesn't happen.
I had no problem with Wilson getting 4 minutes for roughing but there is no way in hell that Tanev gets off with 2 minutes. Definitely 5 and a game.
I've seen a lot poorly officiated games this season. This was amongst the worst. It started with the first penalty of the game. A play that looked more like a toe pick than a trip.
When I officiated a rule I followed was if I didn't see it I didn't call it. Or if you weren't entirely sure, don't call it. It's better to miss a call than to make one up. It's also a lot easier to defend your decision.
Tanev needs to save that for hitting Wilson.
Actually, the referees did not review this hit. They just called two minutes for boarding.
To be fair , Tanev watched his brother get plastered from behind by Florida in the playoffs and there was rarely a call. LOL.
Or they could put Tanev in the same box as Wilson and let him suffer the consequences. 🤣
