My Son does internet installation here in NS. On a call yesterday, he got talking to the customers of the house he was in. The gentleman and his wife were celebrating his recent birthday. Brian McKenzie his name. Turns out to be a former Pens 1st rounder. As my son wan finishing up the install…one of their guests come in and Mr. McKenzie's wife said, "oh, hey Doug, come on in." Turns out to be Doug Gilmore!! My 24 year old Son was star struck and looked at him and said "Gilmore" to which he nodded and shook my sons hand. Mr. McKenzie offered him to stay as he said others were showing up too, they said Marcel Dionne would soon be there. My son feeling a bit awkward just said thank you, but had to get to his next call. I am jealous. I wonder if by chance Wendel was on the list too!? He also installed Rob Welles's cable too (Ricky from Trailer Park Boys). Mr. Welle's showed my son a bunch of his shirts that he wore on the show.
I just cant stop thinking about our captain Matthews laying on the ice with a busted knee and Nylander, Really, Cottonelle carlo and Cowan just standing there doing nothing about it while that big piece of cheese Gouda stands over his prey.I JUST CANT GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD !!!!!!!!!
To Bill’s point, you start the third period in a game you don’t deserve to be close in based on a pitiful number of shots on goal. You score early to make it 2-1 for the Blues at least giving Leafs a chance to get back in it,. And two minutes later Blues get a shorty because of Leafs inept PP and it’s game over Deja vue all over again. You look at other teams in our division who likely won’t make the playoffs but who remain competitive because of their desire to play well as a team in preparation for next season. You can only hope that Leafs will make immediate personnel changes to ice a team of hockey players that want to compete.
