I don't necessarily want to add to the overwhelming volume of negative comments that'll never reach the team's staff, but… yeah I'm in agreement with all these negative comments pretty much. I'm really in favor of refactoring the team at this point. A day late, a dollar short, so on and so forth. As it has been for years. I really hope to see some dramatic shifts and more commitment to focus solely on rebuilding. I'd rather watch us lose and watch players grow than to have seasons like this over and over, frankly.
The moment this team gets possession of the puck, they pass it over to the opponent. This happens almost every time. Literally mean that. The only way you can win games is if you have possession of the puck and put it in the back of the net. That's it. No excuses. You can't just keep sending the puck into the ozone and hope for your teammates to get it and score. That ain't happening, at least not with this team. Season is over for certain. The Wings don't want it as much as the other teams in their division. You can tell. For you Seider fans out there, even Mark Messier commented during first ontermis that Mo Seider made a huge mistake to give Philly a chance to score the first goal. And that's exactly what happened. I turned it off part way during the 2nd period. Had enough of it. Feels like the Wings are playing "tag your it" with the opposing teams in their division. Sorry, but Yzerman needs to go. This falls on his shoulders, not the coaching staff. This team can't win when it needs to. It won't even try until just maybe when they have a burst of energy towards the last few minutes of the game when it then becomes a foregone conclusion in the loss column.Wings need a new GM with some guts, but with smarts. Yzerman has had plenty of time to turn things around. Wings need a fresh start. Unless they get a renowned GM, your probably looking to almost double the timeframe for another rebuild. Yzerman's gotta go.
As a Chicago fan, it's really sad to see Kane and Cat playing meaningless puck down the stretch. At least they can hit up Oakland Hills in a few weeks.

There seemed to be no real gameplan or opposition prep for this opponent, most of the game. It was like they were shocked by how Philly was playing the game and pressuring them.
Seider/Ed buried the team w that gut punch turnover almost immediately. Mo also had another really terrible turnover later in the 1st he got away with.
Gibson let in a bunch of soft stuff.
Cat with the 2nd recent offsides to negate a power play goal in a huge game.
Please for the love of god stop using larkin and raymond as defensive forwards. I get it they want to be defensively responsible and take key draws but that doesn't mean you start them so much in the dzone that they can't produce enough when we need them to.

Larkin has 1 5v5 goal in his past 37 games – absolutely pathetic. why does he fall apart every single season during the playoff push? all 10 years of his career. a real leader steps up when the team needs them most – he's not captain material at all

As much as I like Todd, this collapse is on him too. 6-7-2 since the Olympic break and this team starts flat game after game. Started Gibson in 3rd period down 3-0 and having played 11 straight. Makes zero sense. He mentioned some players not thinking vs Philly- he’s right there with’em.
Wings overachieved most of the season. Now they've been playing at their true level. Sadly the truth is this team doesn't belong in the playoffs. They are never winning the stanley cup with this group anyway, so whatever.
