  1. I’m trying to develop a good routine incorporating all these exercise, anyone know where I can find a good workout plan for beginner players?

  2. i was at the gym and like training in an odd way for hockey and there was a guy like double my age laughing at me abt it 💀💀i’m 13 idk what he was tryna do but as a girl i was js tryna work out for hockey 😭😭

  3. You’re not low enough which isn’t allowing your leg to be fully extended and lock out to have a toe flick at the end of your stride, you’re not swinging your arms to full extension, plus your swinging your arms side to side, along with not bringing your feet back underneath the center of your body (rail road skater) then after your stride, you’re kicking your heals up when you bring your feet back together. you’re missing 66% of your speed with your current skating technique.

  4. I never hop in the comments but this is very true. My hips declined rapidly and I actually ended up with a labral tear in my hip (cartilage where femur connects). I was playing 3-5 days a week but wasn’t continuous enough on PT-based strengthening (this video shows some). For the younger players out there establish this early on so you’re not as likely to end up like me or Patrick Kane; same injury. Labral tears require surgery and 6 month rehab often, so take at least 1-2 hours a week to avoid 6 months off ice!

  5. Could you please tell me where I could purchase one of those grey wedge balance things that is in the opening shot of this video? Or let me know what they are called, so I could order one online. I really need to strengthen my ankles. I skate wierd and need help. Love your videos, Many thanks!❤Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

  6. "I relied on squats and deadlifts to enhance explosiveness" proceeds to show slow ass squats and deadlifts lmao. Con man.

  7. This is proof that Hockey/Skating is great for ankle, knee, and hip mobility.. this is why you see more old guys in a Hockey locker room than any other imo lol, strengthening this is what’s key to longevity and continued growth. Knees over Toes guy would agree lol.

  8. Can you find this stuff at regular gyms? there is one above the rink I play at so imma try these drills I wanna make AAA so I hope this works✌️

  9. 0:15 – absolutely crucial for groin strength (if you play 3x a week, this is a must)
0:17 – Very interesting workout, I haven't done this personally but it looks good.
0:19 – This is amazing also (which also strengthens the groin muscles) but also do where it's wrapped on the outside ankle so you're feeling the pull on the outward motion.
    Great vid!

  10. So I stopped skating and now have issues with my ankles….do you think I should just keep doing the hockey trainings to keep from rolling ankles and other annoyances…? JW from a peer to peer supportive aspect
