Good on Zadorov for letting up on Joshua, he knew Joshua had to step up for the team and was in a hard spot fighting somebody who could destroy him. He respected the situation and didn't go hard on him.

Zadorov won, but given there was no reason to Joshua to go – since they were winning and nobody in their right mind wants to fight Zadorov – call it a tie. I love seeing Z patting Joshua on the shoulder afterwards as if to say: thanks, and good scrap. You acquitted yourself well. Some rats – Bennett, for example, take the opportunity to throw a couple more punches after he refs step in and tie up the other guys arms.

Most hockey fans never laced up boots, never donned a sweater, and don't know the difference between puck possession and puck control. They simply learn the game by what they see and hear the announcers say. When announcers say such stupid things as this, it breeds fans that don't know any better.
Hockey is a respected sport that requires a high level of talent, skill, and practice to be played well. Hockey is not an excuse to have degenerate hits and is not just what happens in-between MMA fighting and scrums!
The same four players that were on the ice when Matthews was hit would not have answered the bell in this game either, or any other game for that matter.
