  1. great accountability from mack, but the blame should not be on his shoulders because he was not set up to succeed. it's gotta be awful for these young guys' mentality to either A) be macklin and feel like the world is on your shoulders despite being let down by the coaching (and the DEFENSE/teammates) or B) be any of the other young players (i.e. smith, misa, cherny, muk, or dickinson) and be constantly benched in favor of the vets DESPITE the vets not "earning their ice time." macklin has been bailing out his warso with star performances, and it's high time to consider the overarching issues with the sharks' system overall, starting with warso

  2. I was at the game actually, he was trying so hard, and every time he missed something, I saw him shake his heads, he’s so hard on himself and it breaks my heart. He’s an amazing player, but he can’t carry the whole team by himself. Poor Mack…

  3. There’s still time to make the playoffs and if we don’t there’s always next year

  4. This is your captain in every sense of the word. Give him the C. It means something. This is his team on and off the ice. He may be a teenager but he's been man enough to face the media and shoulder an incredible weight of responsibility in every loss and humble enough to shine the spotlight on his teammates in every win.

  5. at some point he himself needs to put a stop to how overworked he gets and his TOI.

  6. While other 19 years old are given time to develop, this kid is already carrying the team on his shoulder. You have done so much more, Mack.

  7. people forget he’s just one (relatively rookie) player. placing their success entirely on him is crazy. he’s the reason they’ve gone this far

  8. they're putting mack thru saw traps, he genuinely gave it his all in this game,,, plus a rematch with the blues in 4 days,, we will get that win!!!!

  9. You can just feel the weight of the crushing expectations Mack is carrying on his shoulders. I think he feels the severe pressure to get a goal. I hope he eases up on himself.

  10. I love how he always takes accountability however I don’t think he’s the big problem. I actually think he’s been playing well he’s putting shots on net and he’s been setting up great shots for others but they’ve not read the play properly and aren’t where they should be or fumble it and lose it. It’s a team effort and not a one man band. Also he had the most ice time as a forward and went on a few different lines meaning he was on the ice pretty much constantly at one point, if he was playing that bad he wouldn’t get as much ice time surely. He needs a better support system
