I have spoken to many leafs fans about this exact kind of thing. And when we consider how much money we spend on supporting this team as a Fandom, we have been betrayed by this management team for far too many years. Its always desperate and its always "not going to plan". Screw that! Whats the plan? Where is the plan? If we had hung on to every one of our assets and forced Marner to accept a trade, not only would we have Rantanen, but we would be in better place in the league than we are now. Management promised us they were dedicated to making the best team, but to win a cup, and every decision they have made has ended up hurting this team in past 2 years. They betrayed our trust and now we have to go back to being the losers again. The entire league laughs at us! We are the freaking Clevland Brown of this league. Thr laughing stock of the NHL.

Leafs should have learned from previous trades with Boston…. Stop fucking making deals with them, you always lose!
