  1. The one thing we looked forward to all season was Hagens joining the team for what we hoped would be a playoff run and now that the moment's here, we're all "don't rush him, let him earn it, maybe next season, don't burn a year, on the third line anyway because Khusti and Minty are sooo first liners." Sorry not me. I want him now. Slap the C on him. Let's go!

  2. I always think about what your reaction is gonna be during and after every game. Disappointing loss. Let’s go B’s

  3. Low Qual, I told you last week that a scheduled loss for the Bruins is a must-win game against a pathetic team on an embarrassing losing streak. And I 100% agree with you that the same low-IQ nutjobs getting all mad that Bruins "savior" Hagens isn't directly starting on the 1st line of Boston Bruins are absolutely the same guys that would trash him as a "typical Sweeney draft failure" if the 19 y.o. rookie were not to score in his first 3 NHL games.

  4. I am one of the people happy overall with the loss. I would much rather secure a potential top 10 pick than secure a playoff spot just to get bounced in the first round. Sure its not as fun this year and what people want in the moment, but getting that pick is ESSENTIAL to a successful retool. Hate it all you want, it is the pragmatic take vs the emotional one

  5. I'm more of a college hockey fan than the NHL, but I think Hagens's willingness to go to Providence shows good character on his part. He was really good this past year, and he didn't have much help around him at BC. That was a pretty dysfunctional team outside of the Beanpot.

  6. We were overdue for giving up a 5 in 3 5 minute major. I don't see the point in Zadorov smashing a guy with a guy in the box. He's still the dumbest guy on the ice. And it's his lack of intelligence that has made him a career journeyman. If they don't make the playoffs, sweens should probably find another opportunity. I totally disagree with the Hagens ATO. He should be on the ice with the Bruins. The guy was a top 6 offensive player in college hockey. What did reichel do tonight? Oh, 0 0 0 0 line. Let's look at the entire box score. Oh, I see quite a few players with 0 0 0 0 line. This is a joke

  7. every game left is essentially a playoff game and it felt like I was watching a matinee in january

  8. Watching your review makes me feel a bit better. Also, thanks for the take on Hagens.Totally agree.

  9. welp…you dont want that pick to be top five… after that horseshit i think james is in the line up on satruday. bullshit call on zadorov.

  10. I have really liked this collection of misfits we have had this season a much more entertaining season than I expected. Adding Hagens is not going to win the Stanley Cup for the Bruins this year. The try out contract is the very best route. He gets a look and leaves the door open for what is best for him next season. All this Hagens discourse on line reminds me of something George Carlin wrote……….."Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town."

  11. Yeah really tough loss here. I will say I always like to try to look at the positives, so just feel fortunate we’re even in a position where we’re battling for a playoffs spot. We are far surpassing the expectations of where we should be right now for the season.

Hopefully they can bounce back strong against Buffalo. It’s a big ask on a back to back, but this performance should light a bit of a fire under these guys. Go B’s.

  12. This what happens when you take certain teams for granted and look ahead. Bruins fall victim of this dreaded thing and happens in all sports . Next four will most likely determine their season . Perseverance!

  13. Whatever. The bruins would likely just be a filler team. If we miss and improve our own pick and give the leafs a good 2 points to keep their pick I’m good with it.

  14. Apparently after giving up 42 shots and being outplayed by Detroit, yet still winning the game, the Bruins felt they were invincible.

  15. Only reason we are not at the bottom of standings is the collapse of Florida an Toronto .an not starting hagins was chicken shit move

  16. We shouldn’t be mad we are playing 5D chess here. All important teams in the east lost aside from the habs who we are still 2 points behind. And Toronto got the win which significantly lowers their chances of being bottom 5. We secretly won this game you just don’t know it yet.

  17. I was at the game as well. Flew up from Florida. What a disappointment. Getting a chance to watch from a different perspective, what in the hell is wrong with Pasta? He looked like the worst player in the ice. Hampus wasn’t far behind. Silver lining- I did get to meet Johnny Bucyk! What a nice man!

  18. This was really a perfect spot for the Leafs to win and a bit of a gimme honestly. Boston was on a small 3 game win streak and had already beat the Leafs twice. Its late in the season and it's hard to beat the same team three times in a row. Dont underestimate the Bruins to lay an egg in this spot. I took the Leafs at +175. Oh yeah

  19. This entire B's season has been bizarro world. Which means they're going to blow out the Sabres tonight.

  20. Great video again but Tavares turned into that hit very low against a giant. I couldn't agree with you more about the Hagens stuff and you're the only one except Brian DeFelice that took the rational approach.

  21. You were totally right about the Zadorov fight, that was a smart play by Toronto: 1. Since he had to answer the bell for the Tavares hit, and 2. Because he was so well rested and it took him out of the game another 2 minutes.

  22. I disagree with your assessment of the Lohrei-Reichel blown play, Lohrei didn't lose that race because he was slow, he lost it because he didn't get position on the puck. It is not a race to the puck, it is a race to get between the opponent and the puck. All he had to do was step into the path to the puck and he wins that battle. He had at least three steps to make that play and he just let them blow by him.

  23. great loss. This team is not going anywhere so if this helps keep our first round pick, then I'm all for it.

  24. I'm not going to bag on Lohrei too much because he's still green and has been largely playing well lately. But, getting elbowed off the puck like that for a goal against is a BAD look. He needs to put a poster of that up on his wall for the summer so That doesn't happen again.
Sway was awesome again. That goal in the last second of a 5 minute pk was a brutal break.

  25. With recent moves, Sweeney is really setting up the Bruins for a deep playoff run …. the Providence Bruins. Honestly glad Latourneau is staying at BC for year (I go to some BC games). I would like to see Hagens get some games in Boston this year, but … agree that it should not be in either FLA or TB game, as they will target him. See where the team is after that. I would like to see the B's in the playoffs, but won't be upset if they get both a Toronto and own pick in the top 15. Honestly, a playoff run with Providence would not be a bad thing at all.

  26. It was exactly the Titans wining over the Patriots on the 2k20's wild card for just a whole crappy nothing. And still be doing reverse cover like is a common friendly game. 😂😂😂💩

  27. With all due respect… I’m tired of being told not trusting the Bruins to handle high end prospects is representative of my intelligence. You guys realize he’s probably not getting signed this year, right? And you’re gonna try to tell me he would’ve hurt the team that we watched lose to a glorified AHL team that is actively tanking last night? I think the Hagens criticism is mostly warranted, fair at worst. We can disagree, but let’s not make it about intelligence.

  28. Spot on re Hagens and the idiotic fan base !! I was losing what passes for my mind, even seeing shit over the weekend, then Monday. Excellent take. The rare bad take, in my opinion, was implying that Zadorov CHOOSE to fight Joshua, saying Jeannot should've done so. Joshua was challenging Zadorov, over the Tavares hit. Pretty sure he wasn't asking Tanner to answer. If you're saying the hit was a legit major, fine, but I think having Jeannot "sub in" for Nikita on the challenge would be poor form. Just an opinion.

  29. Boston is really bad and need to tank they make the playoffs they are out of the playoffs in 5 games ….. Tank there are a lot of good players available

  30. Regarding Hagens: The amateur tryout means he is eligible to play in the AHL playoffs.

Once he signs his ELC he would only be able to play in the regular season in the AHL this year and would only be eligible for the NHL playoffs.
