Yzerman, I know he is Red Wings royalty, but he needs to be fired.
If anything, the way this team plays without Larkin makes it feel like he’s the issue, not the solution. Every time he’s out of the lineup, the group looks looser, faster, more connected, and the numbers suddenly jump in the right direction, like they’ve been unchained. That doesn’t feel like random variance anymore – it feels like a pattern that’s literally costing them wins and maybe even a playoff spot. When he slots back in and everything falls apart again, you can’t just keep writing it off as bad luck; at some point you have to admit he might be dragging this team down. If this is as obvious from the outside as it looks, then Yzerman has to be seeing it too – and if he is, it’s time for him to act, not hope this magically fixes itself
Do yourselves a favor and work on your breakout all offseason since we won’t be making the playoffs because of it

Stevie Y built the softest team in the league. Mentally weak, mid level talent, maybe 1 top 50 player (Mo). Just a bad roster.
Top 5 in the league and top in the division for majority of the year just for it to come crashing down when it matters most lol so typical of this group.
Hopefully Kane leaves this dog shit clown organization with its non appreciating biased fans and jealous biased coach in the offseason. With all the injuries, he’s been the force keeping this team competitive and in the playoff mix, Kane had a 3 game point streak coming into this game (2G, 2A, 4 points, +3). Tonight Larkin returned and it ended and Kane didn’t play as well as he had been when Larkin was out. Larkin serves no purpose on this team and ruined the whole team’s chemistry. Raymond invisible again, Seider a selfish clown, Gibson has another bad game. Once Kane's gone, the team’s chance of winning a Cup is zero

Patrick Kane is the best, he needs a vacation with his son and go spend time in Orlando at Walt Disney World. It is spring break.
No way this team makes the playoffs, which sucks. Ottawa fielded a replacement level defense and the Wings still couldn't manage to score more than two goals, at home against a decimated squad who was on a back-to-back. Just 10-ply devastating.

A minus 4 differental for the year in goals compared to the other teams around them says they aren’t good enough without great goattending.
Cat is the only player on the team who plays hockey well and owns a pair. The rest of the bunch are missing one, the other, or both.
I'm still dying for a couple bonafide bruisers in the bottom 6. Larkin getting targeted for injury will continue to happen as long as his teammates allow it. Having Larkin taken out literally killed the season.

I really loved how Kasper dumped the puck back into his own zone, turned over the puck, fell on his ass, and Ottawa scored. Beauty. We need more play like that to make the playoffs.
