Morgan REAAAALY! Nice play turned the wrong way. My take: Being a Leafs fan is like living in a loop. No matter what happens, win, lose, tie it late, force overtime everyone ends up furious. And honestly, how could they not? This team has perfected the art of disappointing every type of fan at the same time.
The people who want to tank hate them because they can’t even lose cleanly. They tie it up with five minutes left, just enough to ruin draft odds, and then collapse in overtime like clockwork. And the people who want to win hate them because tying it late should mean momentum, belief, a chance to steal a game, but with this team it’s just the setup for another punchline.
It’s the same script every year. They give you hope, just enough to pull you back in, and then the second the pressure hits, they fold. Three on three overtime? Forget it. They treat it like a spectator sport. They don’t touch the puck, they don’t battle, they don’t take control. They just wait for the inevitable.
And the goaltending? It’s the same story. A few good moments, a few solid saves, and then when the game is on the line, the soft one goes in. Not a superstar shot. Not a perfect play. Just another stoppable puck ending another winnable game. It’s the pattern that breaks you, not the single moment.

Leafs are in bad shape, bad management, bad coaching, bad players, and nothing in the minors or picks. It will be 4-5 years before they make it into playoffs if they change management and get a good GM

I’ve been saying Reilly needs to go for years and years. He has to be gone this year. Also I’ve been to a few Marlies games this year and I’ve seen more passion and heart out of those guys than I’ve seen from most of the Leafs the entire year.

The only things I love about Toronto is the physical land, as it is my birth place, the Maple Leafs, the Blue Jays and the late great Rob Ford.
