Come on guys. Regular season games are not best of 7 series. They won't stay healthy once the playoffs get here. As much as they have improved , they probably won't make it to the final and rightly so. Maybe next year.
Two points about his comments: first he says, "WHY WOULDN'T the Sabres make it? A backwards compliment hiding a negative bias. Second, referring to the loss to the Capitals, he says, "we got goalied". Good point! Generally those teams with the best goaltending throughout will take home the Cup.

The way they have been playing, I think the Sabres have a better chance to get to and/or win the final than just about any team in the East. Carolina is right there. Tampa could be if they get their act together. But it’s hockey. They could also be out in the first or second round. Late momentum from the Senators or Blue Jackets, an injury or two, a bit of a slump—and we’re spoiled. I’m hopeful, but also a Buffalo sports fan 😂. Nothing is written until it is written. Just happy to have fun hockey again. 😁
