The reality is that Parayko was never a true #1. Had actually never lived up to his full potential. He was supposed to be a 6’6 physical shutdown defender with a bomb of a shot. They compared him to Pronger with better skating. Obviously no one is Chris Pronger. But we’ve kind of just accepted him for who he is. Pretty soft for his size and his shot has been a little underwhelming. We were sold this Parayko is a #1 by management to lessen the blow of letting Petriangelo walk. This guy Buffalo is sending back is also 6’6 D-man but very physical. And he’s a point per game player. Take that with a grain of salt because it is minor leagues. But the kid is a legitimate prospect.
Just what are the Blues doing wanting to trade Parayko he still has term left on his contract and at a very good price.I am sure almost every NHL team would want a 6'6 right handed D man. Why don`t the Blues, Kinda hope he declines the trade to Buffalo or anywhere.
The Cardinals and the Blues are going to monthly paid subscriptions to be able to watch there games on TV. Neither team has made the playoffs this year and maybe won`t make the playoffs for awhile. Then the Cardinals and Blues start trading away popular star players who is going to want to pay to watch rebuiling/retooling teams.
