  1. My bet is Ken Holland brings in a big gun to play with panarin. Kopitar retiring next year will give LA flexibility as well next year for any potential re-signings. I think they're good. Definitely a bummer about Fiala.

  2. We love you Shannon…as well as Yvonne, the bunny and kitties. With that said, if tom wilson were hit by a head-on trucker, I doubt I would blink for that dirty son-of-a-hun who's brought damage on his shoulders to the NHL for years…add to his record that of guys like todd bertuzzi and dany heatley and my palpable anger stretches back to the 1900's. Pieces of s*** deserve the full weight of other enforcers to twist their necks any which way! So, now the L.A. Kings will either be forced to the back of the standings, or, pick up a replacement player who can step right in and do some damage for a temporary team?

  3. Well that sucks for the Kings . Fiala is a huge part of the team. Now they should definitely be active at the deadline.

  4. Shannon, you complained about not being able to find info on the women's Olympic hockey games, but yesterday I was having the opposite problem. I was searching YouTube for highlights of the men's games and kept getting videos of the women's games. Stupid algorithms!

  5. I like the way Shannon does an extra tip of the hat, or an extra tap on the arm of the sleeve of the team he roots for. [sTuPiD hOcKeY gUy HaTeS mY tEaM]
    – Shut up, he’s allowed to cheer for the team he enjoys. You make your own channel and you cheer on your guys.

  6. Awesome for Latvia. Sad for the home team Italians, but it happens. Has been a lot worse beatings in previous Olympics and other high-level international play.

  7. Gutted for Fiala, i now hope Holland can get a good rental and I might stop posting "fire Holland" any chance i get.

  8. Honestly i don’t understand how an organization can allow their multimillion dollar assets to play outside of their organization.Like how does it work? What happens if Mcdavivd gets seriously injured? It about the dumbest business decision possible

  9. There is a very good argument to be made for not having NHL players in the Olympics. The Fiala injury is a prime example. That could have just as easily been McDavid, MacKinnon, Cellebrini, etc. I understand the appeal of playing for your country on the world stage, but it just isn’t worth the risk.

  10. Hey, Latvian šŸ‡±šŸ‡» here!
Rezultāts 11:0 pret Itāliju, ir precÄ«zs atspoguļojums tam,kādu spēli sagaidām no Somiem šŸ‡«šŸ‡® ! Tas pārsteigums pirmajā spēlē pret slovākiem, bija negaidÄ«ts. AcÄ«m redzami, ka komandas vadÄ«ba ir kaut ko kardināli mainÄ«jusi.

  11. When you're 5-1 down against the gold medal favourites with 2 minutes remaining in a group game, don't be going anywhere near the boards and keep your head up. Kevin had nothing to prove, and has now potentially cost the Kings a spot in the playoffs this season. He's one of the hardest working players for the Kings and one of the few who kept trying despite most of his teammates giving up. I had a feeling he was going to get injured in this tournament. I was right. At 29 years old, and after the same injury in the same situation from the Bortuzzo hit, you'd think Kevin would know better by now. Thankfully, he'll be too old for the next Olympics, that is, if he even manages to recover from this. Lucky we'd picked up a LW in Panarin before the Olympics.

  12. It's so brutal for Kevin Fiala. He's always proud to play for Switzerland and was looking forward to play at the Olympics for so long. For our team it's a huge loss, I hope he gets to a full recovery soon!

  13. Other than your channel, I'm following the Olympic Hockey via the IIHF website. Schedule, scores, standings, etc. Everything is on there.
I have the men's open in one browser tab and the women's in another.

  14. I think using goal differential as a tournament standing measure is counter to the spirit of the Olympic Games. May be an unpopular opinion. Oh well.
