    I’m excited about this pickup. He should help toughen the team up while adding veteran talent. The Sharks need to pick up at least one good defenseman before the deadline.

    Idk how I feel about 5 year contract…. Maybe 3 years… but wouldn’t be worth it unless we get better defensively, make it into the playoffs, and he shows his worth.

    If he didn’t work out, we also could always use him as trade bait for a better defensemen in the offseason.

    Id also like to see get rid of some of the forwards we have towards a quality defenseman before the trade deadline.

    Extension can only be 3 years max. Preferably 2. GET HELP ON THE BLUE LINE, GRIER. Definitely with Professor Hockey on this one.

    TBH I don't really like this trade. SJS is obviously in need of a first pair defenseman instead of getting another wing and at the same time I don't really like the amount of assets given for this type of player. But maybe he is just a piece of upcoming trade to bolster Sharks D-core. We will see!

    Love the Sherwood trade.. one of the fan fav in Vancouver.. sharks will be decent but their defence is pretty bad.. they need to get at least 2 decent dmen to be competitive

    Now that Sherwood/Andersson are done I wonder if teams like NYR or Jets start uploading guys.

    In jets case I feel guys like these can be cheaper options for teams.
    1. Stanley-27yr old makes 1.25m maybe worth a 2nd+
    2. Schenn maybe worth a 4th or 5th
    3. Iafallo worth a 2nd maybe more depending how desperate teams are.
    4. Collin Miller depth D maybe a 5th
    5. Neidereitter for a 3rd rounder
    6. Namestnikov for a 4th/5th
    7. Demelo if jets move him signed 2yrs at 4.9m could get a 2nd+ maybe a low 1st.
    8. Pearson= 5th rounder
    9. Get whatever you can for Nyquist a 7th.
    10. It's up to Toews ik hes not the 2C like hoped but if he wants to win a cup go to Colorado,Florida,Tampa,Dallas or reunite Quenneville in Anaheim maybe they get a 3rd/2nd for him.

    A prospect swap or guys I think Jets should target are
    1. Barrett Hayton- 25yr old RFA center not having best year Utah
    2. Marco Kasper 21yr old in Detroit
    3. Brennan Othmann 23yr old NYR
    4. Other prospects Poitras,ConnorGeekie,Savoie.

    Jets have alot of youth Barlow,Lambert,Heinola,He,Freijs,Boumedienne,Chibrikov,Walton depends on what deal is.

    Not mad abt this pick up..and we got Vinny Desharnais bak n he showed up against the Panthers..what a game!!! So the D mite start to shape out bt wouldn’t mind picking one up by the deadline just for cushion 🤷🏻‍♂️ real test is the get bak against the Bolts today 🫡🙏🏼👌🏼🔥🔥🔥🦈🏒

    Sherwood puzzles me (as he's so similar to Toffoli… and Toff is on a NTC/NMC), I wonder if they'll ship him (Sherwood) off to NYR for Panarin? I think Panarin bread (add cheese on top) in teal would be delicious!! NYR loves those bangers like JT Miller, so I think that Sherwood fits their culture… Panarin might be a better fit in teal with their roster construction, but I think Sherwood will be great regardless.

    No to 5×5, I'd be ok with 3×5 but don't think he's worth 5per. Like 3.5-4, and 3 years max period regardless of the $.
