Penguins postgame: Wow. Big win with big implications

  1. This was probably the biggest win of the year, and really shows that this team cares, and cares about making the playoffs this season…gutsy win…Novak is the unsung hero of this team, just big goal or big assist time and time again…Chino, Kouvi, EK, all big games…you didn't say anything about the new guy, he was better than advertised…lots of guys engaged and playing hard, and that's how you need to play down the stretch run…great win !

  2. An important and resilient win! πŸ† P.S. Someone please tell Ben Kindel to find a body and take it… not lay down in front of the goalie to try and block a shot… seen this several times in recent games.

  3. Was sooooooooooooooooo happy that Muse finally benched Kindel. Hopefully we can just get him sent down entirely when 87 and 71 come back, and the team'd be looking up!! Kindel was well on his way to burying this team AGAIN, flopping around on the ice like a dying fish after every goal, and when Muse benched him is when the game turned around.

  4. Hey Dan! All I can say is 'wow'. . . that was a wild one, but very satisfying! Agree πŸ’― with your assessment! They did need to 'find themselves' in a sense. I think they did that. Only time will tell. . . Have a safe trip, and see you on the next one! Cheers!

  5. Great "modulating" Dan – and a great analysis! That was the best game (or third period) of the season – in my humble opinion. Silovs has got to stop leaving his goal all the time. Was that the second goal with him out of the net this season?

  6. I mean, it may be a season saving victory. Getting in by a point wouldn't surprise me.
I really like Solovyov. He did well on the right side. I prefer him over Clifton.
Tbh we may do better if both of them play and Letang sits, but they'll never do that.

  7. I had almost given up when it was 3-0, I admit. Then they dug in, they got pissed, and they ground it out with COHESION. Their biggest weakness is when they cannot connect on passes, even open ice passes. I woke up this morning STILL fired up by that performance. Good job inserting the Swedish giant, not Hayes. Dewar was back to himself, Novak is a quiet workman, and Lizzotte and Co were relentless. Let’s go Pens!

  8. Great video and it was a 3-0 lead Pens overcame…I was at the game where we last overcame a 3 goal.lead without Sid & Geno..2/10/01 Big #66 still playing, and Kovalev had a day! My wife was pregnant with our oldest son who is now 25! Ahh Penguin nostalgia!

  9. TRIUMPH – The Colony fights it back. 🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧
