I took my blood pressure meds tonight so my heart doesn't jump outta my chest during the game. 😅 LET'S GOOOO DUCKS!
Mctavish honestly looks terrible. He’s looked bad for a few weeks and he looks awful tonight against the Avs.
Vamos Patos! 🦆
He seems to have lost confidence. Tentative, over passing, hands are gone, no longer decisive on the rush. I think getting him back with granlund or terry will help.
Kyle, your take on McTavish is as bad as they get. McTavish is 5 games back from an injury and you don't know if he is suffering from lingering effects. Your judgment based on what Mason looks like is not valid, that's just his demeanor. He always looks in a daze, it's not his style to be jumping up and down all the time. The worst part of your take is suggesting that he could be traded. This period for the Ducks is about the young players growing into their potential, and there will be spurts and flat spots. Trading away a top talent who is going through a lull isn't the way to build a contender. When we considered this season in October, the goal was to be in contention for a playoff spot. Obviously, that has been achieved. Now people are expecting a strong push. That's all fine, but not at the expense of trading players who came through high draft picks. McTavish needs time to heal, and to develop his talents within this organization, not be threatened with a trade. Trading away top assets when there is a dip in play isn't a way to build a championship team. As you alluded to, we already lost a top player in Zegras because they quit on him far too soon. Let's not do that with McTavish or Minty.
I think mctavish needs to be traded. He doesn’t play like a center on the ice. Doesn’t help with breakouts or skating puck up the ice
There must be something going on, whether it's personal or health, have you noticed how he's around his teammates? He has that constant twitch, but when he's interviewed I don't see him doing that, I'm wondering… Is it's personable? Like maybe a girlfriend or family member illness? I hope he's going to be alright. I'm more concerned about him as a human being, and not so much as a player, hopefully the team will help him with whatever it is. 🙏 Do you think it's because he's on the third line, not feeling like he's getting the respect? I hope it's not that because Quinville does like to mix the lines. Maybe he wants to play closer to home near his family? I wish him the best whatever it is ❤
