Brakes, Dangles & Power Moves | NHL Week 18 Best Goals

The NHL season is back — and Week 18 wasted no time delivering highlight-reel skill.

Tampa Bay’s Gage Goncalves put on the brakes in tight and finished with a spectacular move. Tage Thompson picked the pocket of his Team USA gold medal teammate Jack Hughes, spun to create space, and sauced a perfect pass to Peyton Krebs for a beauty.

Colorado’s Parker Kelly skated through four Utah defenders and sniped one past Karel Vejmelka, while newly acquired Artemi Panarin quickly showed chemistry with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe on a smooth passing play.

Rookie phenom Matthew Schaefer unleashed a pinpoint shot for the Islanders, Evan Rodrigues scored shorthanded with a slick change of direction, and Egor Chinakhov finished off a setup from Evgeni Malkin in Pittsburgh.

Young star Jackson Blake delivered a nasty toe-drag to set up Taylor Hall, and Connor McDavid circled patiently before finishing on a wide-open net. Ryan Poehling, Simon Holmstrom, Anders Lee, Will Smith, and more brought the skill as the stretch run gets underway.

  1. Why is it that when I truly start to get into hockey, my team ends up at the bottom of the entire league? The NHL gods hate me 🙏

  2. #Isles!!!! My boys had 3 of the goals in that video, they just keep getting better and better. I'm 35 and I've been an Islanders fan my whole life, which also means I've never got to see my team even make it to the Stanley Cup lol. I think we may finally get our shot at the title one of these seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if it was this one!!
