  1. I can’t badmouth the Devils, but the way they played, they gave the Red Wings the win they needed.

  2. Finally started right out of the gate instead of sleep walking the first five to ten minutes. Wonder what's changed?

  3. They played aggressive offensively and defensively, had control the entire game.

Faulk looked really good such an underrated trade, seider says it all plays a physical game dynamic player,he’s got a great shot he’s fast ,and a power play threat.he brought a lot of motivation tonight,I hope Gibson is not out long term GO RED WINGS.

  4. Very good skater and brain that Faulk guy. Impactful player just in his 1st game as a Wing

  5. Seider has so much poise. Happy for Shiner, he's got such a great work ethic. The Faulk addition jacked up the floor of this team immediately. The guys all recognize it.

  6. Totally forgot JVR has 15 goals on the season. Definitely should extend him in the summer

  7. Alot of people especially online calling for Yzerman’s head after every loss lets be honest with the facts here
    1. Steve Yzerman took over after the 2018-19 season in April of 2019 so the whole 10 years without playoffs… you cant pin that all on him as he wasnt even in charge of the team till the 2019-20 season which in his introductory press conference was straight up with us and the media stating we are going into a full on rebuild and he intends on doing it the right way thru the draft and preached patience we wont get better over night but trust the process
    2. Look at the team he walked into in 2019 and tell me wtf he had to work with… the only players from that team that’s still here is our current captain Dylan Larkin and Rasmussen the top prospects from that time? Zadina… he was a big bust not even in the league anymore Cholowski… a career 7th D-man or AHLer HE HAD NOTHING THE BUILD OFF NO ROSTER TO TURN AROUND just an aging core and busts…
    3. In the 6 years hes been GM the last 3 of them we were competitive late into the season 23-24 missed by a tie breaker last season we missed by 5 points this season currently 3rd in the division Steve rebuilt our roster into a competitive roster is about 3 years… it usually takes rebuilds 5-10 years to become competitive steve turned a last place team in 2019-20 into a competitive team within 5 points of playoffs by 2023-24… does he get any credit from the fans? NO…
    4. As i stated our prospect pool was basically nonexistent when Steve took over we went from Zadina Cholowski McIssac as our top prospects to having one of the best prospect pools in the nhl 6 years after yzerman took over while never winning a draft lottery… we not only have a full prospect pool but multiple players Yzerman drafted during this rebuild as main stays on the roster like Seider Raymond Johansson ASP Finnie and Edvinsson with multiple guys who were called up for depth thar hes drafted as well like MBN and Danielson does he get any credit for that? NO…
Steve Yzerman has done so much for this organization in 6 seasons and people wanna call for his head and rarely ever gets credit from these ungrateful fans for the work hes done so far which is basically rebuild the Detroit Red Wings from nothing to the competitive roster we see today in 6 seasons…6 SEASONS HE MADE THIS TEAM COMPETITIVE AND RESTOCKED THE PROSPECT POOL AND IM SICK AND TIRED OF THESE UNGRATEFUL RED WINGS “FANS” NOT GIVING HIM THE CREDIT AND APPRECIATION HE DESERVES… i swear you ever call for Yzerman’s job then dont call yourself a fan… because REAL FANS SEE THE WORK HES PUT INTO THIS TEAM TO MAKE IT HOW IT IS TODAY AND APPRECIATE THAT HES BASICALLY REBUILT THE RED WINGS IN 6 SEASONS…

  8. FAULK , SHINER, MBN! All 3 contributes above expectations! Seider awesome game. Chiarot and Faulk played as if they were pair all year. Great team win.

  9. JBD has actually been solid this season but do we think ASP is gonna continue to be the odd man out and maybe even sent down? I personally want him to stay in the line up and continue to develop his game but i understand playing a roster that gives you the best chance to win and make the playoffs

  10. For all you crybabies/nervous nelly's/bet wetters – The Wings are 3rd in their division. 5 points out of first, and 6 points ahead of the first team below the line. Even with a non-stellar past 10 games, they are still 13 (yes THIRTEEN) points ahead of where they were last year. That is a larger difference that at any point this season. This is a different team, charting a different course. They earned ZERO points in their first 6 games last year. They have earned 5 points in the first 4 games this year. The dreaded March swoon that so many keep predicting has not and is not happening. Let's go WINGS! Looking forward to being a part of the first playoff games at LCA.

  11. Did the media seriously not have a question about MBN and his physicality. That one guy asking about how resilient this team is. Swear I’ve heard him ask that every postgame.

  12. Gibson #3 in vezina conversation

Seider is recognized #6 best d man in the league by the hockey community on Reddit

Raymond is recognized #12 best winger by the hockey community on Reddit

    This team is looking great

  13. Faulk looked amazing out there. Congrats to Shiner on his first NHL goal! Norris Seider doing Seider things. Great win boys!

  14. Obviously Seider & JVR played well, and I was impressed with Faulk's debut with the team. He's a very positive addition to not only the blue line, but moving the puck through the neutral zone. Shout out to Shine! Well deserved 1st NHL goal for a guy who has done nothing but work his ass off no matter where he is playing. Love to see that. I also have to give some recognition to MBN, he was a tank out there and looked like he was playing with confidence. I hope he makes it very difficult to send back down. Last but not least, Johansson has been playing really well lately and he looked really good tonight. Good solid win to begin this critical road trip.

  15. I haven’t really followed Justin Faulk’s career that closely. I realize it’s just one game, but what a difference he makes. Calm defensive net front presence. Easy zone exits. He’s a big body. He’s got a great hockey sense. He’s a really solid defensive defenseman, that can also contribute in the O Zone. Great pick up by Stevie.

  16. Congrats on your 1st Shiner!!! Sick pass by JVR. Keep this going boys. The city is behind you. LGRW.

  17. Those D lines are smooth with Faulk and Chiarot on the second line with Bernard-Docker and Johansson. Copp and Kane need to toughen up. Sweet seeing Shine get his first NHL goal. And holy cannoli did Mo Seider step up this game. To the first goal of the game, grabbing the puck for Shine and his interview show he’s the next captain of the Detroit Red Wings

  18. You can't help but absolutely love what we saw tonight. Great to see Faulk in the interview as well as on the ice. Same as Perron – these guys seem to fit in well with the chemistry, and are going to raise the game enough to make the Wings a lot tougher to beat. This looks to have been the best defensive showing of the year. Of course Larks will be missed (stop asking, please, reporters…) but the gang rose to the occasion! LGRW!!!

  19. Shine’s reaction to his goal was as much relief as it was happiness. To be almost 33, career AHL’er, getting called up last yr for 1st time was a dream come true I’m sure. But it was short lived 9 games. Didn’t get a goal. Probably felt like he missed his only chance. Then gets a 2nd chance this yr and finally does it. Love that. He can now say he played in the NHL and scored. Sure, he re-signed for 2 more yrs, but it’s a 2-way and barring a ton of injuries or trade, realistically, this was his last opportunity to get an NHL goal. So happy for him.

  20. Teams don't think twice about targeting our best players without an enforcer, Larkin last game now Gibson..

  21. John Gibson is great but he gets hurt too easily, left a few games ago because of a stinger and now in this game leaves after a collision. Also I'm concerned about a potential concussion issue with him cus I noticed earlier this season it really effects him any time a shot hit him in the mask. I would really think twice about extending him in the offseason.

  22. 88 – future ? Believe me if Detroit doesn’t want him ,he might find another team if he wants ! If not his future is HOF !

  23. i know there are alot of wings fans screaming the sky is falling. this was a great example of why its not.I think as long as gibby comes back faulk is gonna be huge for our d core and im excited for perron and larks to get back. Were fine guys!! LGRW
