Gotta Hear It: Jack Edwards takes exception to Stewart fighting Krug
Listen as Boston Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards doesn’t take kindly to Chris Stewart of the Anaheim Ducks fighting Boston Bruins defenceman Torey Krug.
Yet this guy would constantly stand up for Chara fighting little guys because he's sticking up for his guys. This is why we need homer announcers out of the game. They're annoying as fuck
Real manly thing to do? He basically taunted the Ducks by saying, "that's not a wise idea" meanwhile, the Ducks have Getzlaf, Stewart and Bieksa on the ice…who's going to push them around? Bergeron? Plus, Krug had every right to keep his gloves glued on. If he wants to play with the big boys, don't patronize him if he's willing to fight. Basically saying Stewart is not playing the right way because Krug dropped 'em to fight before Stewart did? Strange logic.
and then Krug said after the game that he started the fight while Stewart was hesitant to do it. funny how bad this dumbass commentator looks now doesn't it? stay classy Boston.
Torey Krug would probably Jack Edwards a numnut to be honest…Stewart didn't want to fight because of the size difference, held a lot back during the fight, and told Krug good job after the fight. Stewart's a classy guy who respects the code. That clown didn't seem to have an issue when Adam McQuaid jumped non fighter Nick Schultz in Philadelphia last year and there is a 4 inch and probably a 30 lb difference between those two.

Chara only goes after guys who have intentionally injured a teammate or has challenged him. Stewart here just found the smallest guy in a scrum and picked a fight. That's the difference. And Paccioretty deserved to get knocked out. Montreal is the scum of North America and its people are not humans.

Edwards rips Stewart (even though Krug admitted to wanting and starting the fight), but of course everytime Chara takes on someone that much smaller (which is most players) its not only ok, its expected and justified (although usually it isnt- Chara is a big baby). Edwards is a homer, a douche and an asshole. Fits well with the Bruins, just sucks that we have to listen to him once in awhile.

so Krug bring 5'9" means he isn't allowed to get into fights? thats such bullshit. he gets ecstatic when Chara is throwing punches on a 6'1" guy when he's 6'7". does the station realize how much of an ass Edwards is to opposing teams and glorifies the Bruins? its alright to show a little bias towards your team but the amount he shows towards the Bruins is off the charts. theres no professionalism with the bruins from the coaches to the players and to the commentators. All but Bergeron, but Marchand makes up for him.
