However, this seemed to be the plan by Marco Sturm as he has commented on the success they’ve seen from Jonathan Aspirot as he earns a well-deserved contract extension.

Like the majority of bruins fans. Yeah okay. Cali and Texas no. How about most of New England. I guarantee you NH and Maine have more fans than Cali and Texas. Obviously Mass is a given.

Trade ML in a package to move Korpi and bring up DiPietro.
Peeke is a third pair defensman that plays a physical game. kills penalties, etc he is doing actually what you expect from his game. this weekend was the first time the teams plus/minus has been a plus in a while. if they do not have any plans of trying to resign Peeke, than move him by the deadline. rhey did give Columbus a future third rounder in the deal.
I disagree, trade lohrei or lindholm for a pick and cap space and then resign peeke, Peeke plays the roughest every game he knows how to play the big boy game
Time to ship Mason, he's over paid for a 3rd line. Harris, Kolya, Asp and Peeke can hold down the third pairing for the rest of the year. They also have Callahan in Providence if injuries happen. They have plenty of cheap depth.
I would keep Peeke in the line up. I think Lohrei and Jokiharu would be battling for a job.
McAvoy not worth 9.5 million
I see I'm the outlier here… I think everyone's nuts for thinking about getting rid of Lohrei. Kid has a monster shot. He's great at setting up plays and clearing the zone, when he has solid puck control. Solid special teams play when called upon. Clearly not perfect on defence, but he's 24 guys. He's got growing pains and could be a solid piece for this team for years. I might be wrong, but the team seems to dig him too…
