Wings receive Justin Faulk for a 1st & 3rd as well as Justin Holl AND prospect Dimitri Buchelnikov.
Big price tag
The wings need to make the playoffs for the fans and the LCA needs to host playoff games for the first time. This moves improves their chances in a big way. They really needed a true top four d-man and they got one. Hefty price, but top four right shot d-men come at a high cost.

We've needed defensive help all season so glad to see this get done.
I like the trade what if he was actually going to do anything for this team we would have gotten Robert Thomas. It's simple math really doesn't matter how much crate defense do you have if you can't score goals.. this is a team full of Marco Kaspers. They all stayed well they all can pass but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a banjo. I smell rebuild in 2 years
Red Wings probably were selecting about 25th overall for 2026. If it were the 2027 first it probably would have been even more optimal. Faulk could stay, hope this is not a 1 year flash in the pan and gone scenario.
