Komisarek…a real former Habs: always ready to fight when the refs are close=not so much when they are gone!!! Should have stayed a healthy scratch…great punching bag though!!!
Don't think Komisarek's career ever really recovered after being pummeled by Lucic back in 2008. Habs didn't want him after 2009 so he signed as a free agent with the Leafs and his playing time dropped, only played 4 games this year and a healthy scratch 26 times. Not saying it was that fight, but he was drafted 1st round, 7th overall by the Canadiens.
Not to mention Komisarek tore his rotator cuff or labrum one time after a fight with Lucic…caused him to miss out on the Olympic team and stuff…fighting Lucic definitely turned him from a solid defensive defenseman to a big guy that shys away from contact at all costs.
