The first major injury of the 2026 Winter Olympics took place in Milano and as a result, the Los Angeles Kings have lost Kevin Fiala for the rest of the 2025-26 season. Fiala will require surgery.

Injury is definitely a bummer but LA was not a playoff team before the Olympic break. Team that probably needs a rebuild and a new coach.
It sucks to lose Fiala but we were not a playoff caliber team anyway and I hate to be a downer but this team is worse than the previous teams with this core of players HOLLANDS INABILITY TO SEE THE ISSUES AND HIS DESIRE TO KEEP HILLER ARE THE MOST OBVIOUS DOWNFALL OF THE KINGS
Not enough assets to go for a winger and a center. They need a center. Looks like Foegele will get his chance to shine

Biggest mistakes they made in the offseason was getting older and not firing Hiller .
Kings might squeak out a playoff spot but, they are not a contender for the cup. Start playing your younger guys for the rest of the season. Fiala just needs to rehab and get ready for next season.
