I hope we call up lil pro and give him a chance in the big team. However they had ample opportunity to do it earlier while pld was hurt, and it never happened so i doubt it will happen
Excellent asset management by the Caps here. Losing Dowd sucks, but with the exorbitant returns for depth pieces this year, it would be bordering on flagrant malpractice not to capitalise on the opportunity. I wouldn't read too much into Vikman, though. He will become an RFA next year. It's possible Vegas deemed it necessary to send a contract back the other way. The Caps could still opt not to qualify him next year and let him walk into free agency.
I think we got a fairly good haul for dowder dispite how upset i am to see him leave. I think we have good centers (mainly lil pro) on the come up and sourdi is here to stay as a really talented center, someone was going to have to budge next season, and i dont hate it being dowder as the oldest center on the team to make room for the youth
Good trade. Now trade more older players for more picks and prospects. The Ovie era ends after this season and we have a few young pieces, but not enough. They need to rebuild and stock the cabinet.
Edmonton is desperate for a goalie. I bet they’d give a lot for Logan…

What did I say? Clueless Chris sacrificed Ovis last year for the future. Pretty brutal unless he adds tomorrow.
Decent return for Dowd. He's had a poor season and this paves the way for an Ilya Protas callup
