Gil in what way does the garland trade make any sense he contract is disaster 6 year 6 mill with ntc and he’s 30 year old and is 3rd 4th liner! In my opinion darche should’ve fired if makes trade like that
It doesn’t make sense even if they take both duclair and drioun they have 1 year and 2 year left garland has 6 that also be and horrible idea
No on Pettersson
Here is why Darche would be a fool to go anywhere near Pettersen, not only is his contract hideous but it is also frontloaded. Next season his cap hit is 11m, the year after 14.4m, the year after that 12.5m and the final 3 years it drops to 8.7m which is the key. Patrick Allvin WILL NOT retain anything if this contract is moved because as he sees it…the last 3 years are a bargain at 8.7m per. As for Connor Garland you only have to look at his numbers to realize that they look very familiar…another Anthony Duclair, the Islanders are shopping Duclair as we speak…why the hell would you take on the exact same player! It's unfortunate that Darche does not have the assets to sit at the big boys table and make a deal for Kyrou/Thomas but stay far, far away from Allvin in Vancouver…he made his bed…let him lay in it.😊
No way on garland
It doesn't take an elite team to win a cup, it takes the hottest team at the time. They should be adding at the deadline even if it means sacrificing their draft picks. No one cares about who wins the presidents trophy. And trading players like Lee and Pageau is not a good idea mid season. Especially the captain.
Thompson kyrou would be tbe appropriate pickup. I wouldtrade George and Danny nelson and lee.

NO to ep40. both are soft with albatross contracts. all these trade rumours are jokes. garland? undersized. myers? slower than shit. vinnie trocheck? before injuries a solid 2 c now more of a solid 3rd line c isles already have in 44. r. thomas? 11 g, 35 pts. just another tweener avg. fwd. isles have plenty of. let sabres or utah with the brothers armstrong making a thomas deal between blows and mammoth and both desperate to make the playoffs overpay for thomas.

This is crazy. Kyrou is the only needle mover. All others would cost major future assets which would be a bad move. Robert Thomas is great but we don't need another center at $8 m plus cap hit. Resign Pageau at $5 for 2 years and see what Danny Nelson can do at that time. We need a scorer ASAP
