  1. Looking good. LOOKING GOOD in the Nordiques gear. I was up in the attic cleaning out my dad's estate house. I have a white old Nordiques jersey. Some kind of soft circular Nordique logo pillow esque design that used to hang on my child hood door. I have a puck from when Guy Lafleur hit the cross bar in warm ups at a Pens game. Finally I have a bunch of Joe Sakic rookie cards. I had to sell my Gretzky cards for $50 to the sports card store for food after dad died. Anyways cool gear. Oh the nostalgia.

  2. Nylander is like a spoiled entitled brat. He got paid now only plays when he wants to. Real Hockey players want to play thru injuries this bunch in Toronto are either a fake captain that hides and gets pushed in a shopping cart is so highly paid he can refuse to talk when they lose. Nylander goes shirtless to show he wants to play on the Heated Rivalry team. I’d say Matthew’s lack of balls showed he’s gunning for season 2 as well. I found it hard to believe the hockey shrugged this off like it’s acceptable. You went from a class act and YouTuber to the entertainment guy kardashin. Been a follower here for 5 years. I’m old I enjoy the suits and class hockey players came to the rink in acceptance of fights and cursing on the ice long before microphones everywhere and a captain took the blame for loses. Watch Crosby and mackinnon when they go to the rink and after.

  3. The whole nylander situation is stupid. And so is your take on it. He’s at work and he’s supposed to be a professional athlete. Yes things happen on the ice. But also flipping someone off with a glove during a game could or couldnt be seen. And heat of the moment…is a little different than what he just did. If we’re gonna talk about hearing parents curse when you’re growing up, that’s a major deflection from what just occurred. he saw the camera recording, said, watch this guys to his teammates, and then appeared to act like an unprofessional 14-year-old boy. Dude was unprofessional in an environment where he is supposed to be professional and that’s all it comes down to. I don’t care what sport it is. People don’t seem to get this. Is it a huge deal?? No but it’s also unprofessional. And we move on.

  4. I mean its not that momentary of a thing since willy saw he was on camera, thought about it, checked to make sure they were still on camera and then flipped the bird lol

  5. It's a shame that so many people are offended by simple actions that people naturally do. They really act like it's a children's league. Crazy times.

  6. The first time i remember the "day to day" taking MONTHS was when i was 10 and doing a hockey pool with my dad. We ended in 2nd place because Ed Jovanovski got a "day to day" injury that kept him out FOR EVER

  7. Worthy of note that the Avs sent defenseman Jack Ahcan back to the Eagles (AHL), so Toews is all but confirmed to return Wednesday vs. Ottawa. They also returned goalie Isak Posch to the Eagles, so Scott Wedgewood should be back after taking a brief leave to be with his wife and new baby. ❤

  8. So its the professionalism of it. I know u have worked on construction sites etc but let me ask u. If the Big BOSS was there would u behave more than u would usually? Depending on the regular boss (ie the Foreman who u see everyday) if he cared or not (some do some dont. Also some if ure working on a school construction project will call out "Recess time" as a reminder to the workers to watch their mouth and gestures as the little kids are out) i know there's a different attitude with conduct when the big boss is there vs the boss u see everyday.

  9. On the up side with Day to Day being the vague verdict on injuries, it probably lessens the amount of betting on the NHL.

  10. Soucy's first game for the Islanders should be against the Rangers, that should be interesting to watch

  11. Shannon, Nylander flipping the bird directly at the camera is seen as more serious than a hot mic picking up a swear word or the camera catching players flipping each other off. It's about having a professional standard and being mindful that a lot of kids watch hockey as well

  12. Watch the NHL nitwits give Nylander a suspension, while Rust gets a pat on the back and an "atta boy". Fucking NHL.
Yes, I said the word FUCK – poor babies.

  13. Expected half assed apology from Nylander. What a complete loser just like all the people trying to brush it off as no big deal. Darren Millard said he was just being “goofy” like what!?

  14. Rust gets 3 games for a hit that wouldn't even get a review if he was a Panther. This league is a joke.

  15. The people who fly into hysterics over curse words or a finger being shown are people who don't know how kids talk or act when their parents aren't around. It's like the hysteria surrounding sex. People really think their kids don't know what sex is until they turn 30, as long as they block the Discovery channel. It's ridiculous.

  16. Speaking of PK Subban, is he no longer part of the ESPN team? I hope it's true, he was good on the ice, in front of a camera is a different story.

  17. I honestly think the flipping off the camera is a very big cultural separation between Canada/traditional markets and certain parts of the US where big advertisers might be headquartered and I really wish Canadian broadcasters basically acknowledged that separation….

Anger towards Nylander by Toronto fans seems to be more about reinforced biases that he doesn't put in effort every night
