This trade is so crazy like Jarry goes from clearing waivers to getting us Skinner Girard and 2 second rounders 😂 The fact that we didnt retain on his contract is also unbelievable Jarry and Skinner are such similar goalies but the difference is Jarrys older AND more expensive and somehow the Pens ended up with the extra pieces. When u think about the Oilers cap situation i just cannot believe we didnt retain. 😵💫

Team has too many holes to fill at the deadline….sell….Hate to say it…but McDavid is leaving….loves edmonton….but he needs to change his mojo…
Both goalies last night had terrible rebound control and both teams had terrible defensive coverage on most of those goals, which isn't completely unexpected from two teams shaking off the Olympic break rust. Jarry is a Jekyll and Hyde goalie, who is great in the 1st half of the season and less great in the 2nd half, so midseason might not have been the best time to trade for him, when you get at best a couple decent weeks out of him. McDavid shouldn't be playing over 20 minutes after just arriving back from Italy and that's on the coach.

i said it before olympic break: those 2 new useless goalies are NO better than sloppy skinner was; awful ; pulled Jarry and then ingram has to go in and clean up stop mess and it did not work; OiLERS will end up 4 thplace pacific and no sniff of playoffs; tonight LAK will destroy Oilers; abysmal ; lazy stupid nurse – needs to be packaged and traded by bowman next week; get rid of him – Knaub probably will be fired soon; this is 5ths straight loss before olympic break; … Coffee aint going to help ; he should not have come back
Jarry is worse than Stu Skinner
Connor does need a break. That, however, will not make Darnell Nurse a smart hockey player. The cap Nurse takes up could turn into 2 players of a higher ilk that can make a difference for that club. He looks lost out there chasing and cannot make sound defensive decisions. If you play like that you need Vasilesky type goaltending of which Jarry is not even close. What a bad trade from a bad organization heading in the wrong direction. Writing is on the wall for Connor and its so sad to see Edmonton fail the best hockey player the world has ever seen since the Great One…who they had and so should have some idea how to build around a generational player. Now, Edmonton will fall victim to another heartbreaking exit in a couple years with absolutely nothing to show for it but a laughing Darryl Katz. Well done Edmonton. Your the embarrassment of the league and everyone outside the Oiler bubble are straight up laughing at you and loving this. Specially Calgary and if you think trading with them to make your team better is ever going to happen!

why would you expect a guy that spent most of last 2 seasons in the minors to be a number 1 goaltender?
I would not trade lives with McDavid. I would not trade lives with anyone that has the weight of a Canada fanbase on their soldiers.
Binnington is the goalie EDM needs. While he isn't have a great season… he'll take a trade personal and he shows up in the playoffs.
