No way, thats not good enough for trocheks talents, and his very manageable contract.
I agree with this analysis. That package is light and we should get a haul on this trade. The 2027 number one has less value than a 2026 which means Minnesota has to offer more. The prospect, Stramal, offered is a good third piece. Not the second piece. Stramal projects to be a bottom six forward….at best. He may be a bust at the NHL LEVEL and I rate the risk of him not making any impact in the NHL as high. He doesn’t have a contract either and is a UFA on 16 August. He’s definitely a project and not a high end prospect. Yurov should be the ask. Yurov, the 2027 first and Stramel is ok but I think there are better deals to be had for the Rangers. If Yurov is untouchable, the Rangers should move on. Wild fans think they can get Jack Hughes for a discount. You’re going to pay a lot to get a #1 or #2 center before the deadline. You don’t have the assets to get Hughes, not even close, and you’re going to pay big time to get Trochek.

Trading Trochek for draft picks & prospects is not a retool, it constitutes a rebuild. Trochek wants to stay in the east, so how do we know that the Wild are not on his no trade list. A trade is not imperative now so a good GM plays the waiting game.
Your giving Drury to much credit.He traded panarin,kreider,trouba and got zero 1st or 2nd round picks combined for all of them.We'll be lucky to get a 2nd round pick and a garbage prospect for trocheck with Drury making the deal.
