    The Mitchy story is much ado about nothing. Some folks have just can't move on. It doesn't matter anymore than AM34 has 3 goals and Mitch Marner got his first one yesterday.

    With Mitch being clutch even in the playoffs, it almost seems inevitable that Marner will be a huge success with the Knights. Lol

    I noticed how the Team Canada forwards drop back to cover when one of their defencemen “activates.” (hate that term) Maybe if the Leaf forwards offered Morgan Reilly the same support, MR’s play would not look so bad.

    Matthew's is leading the U.S in Goals, and Points. Assisting on the OT goal against Sweden. But he's no good. Leafs media and Leafs fans are going to regret losing him.

    Leafs need to try and recoup some first round picks if possible. McMann, OEL, and others. That was Marner's first goal 3 on 3. Nylander is not the best playoff player. He's offence only. Matthew's is a 200ft players. Wins draws, scores, plays defense, and kills penalties.

    All these people talking about mith Marner, scoring, and he's playing for the night and the main thing is he scored for Canada, that's all that matter. It's got nothing to do with him.Not being a leaf.Anymore

    Leafs still have a shot at making the Playoffs! Returning players from injuries, and adding a few players at the trade deadline, could be extremely interesting? IMO. GO LEAFS GO !!!!

    I was happy he scored for Canada and we advanced I don't care if he did it or someone else as long as we win

    Other teams' fans care more about the Leafs than Leafs' fans do. Lots of us wanted Marner gone because the Core 4 salary structure prevented the team from advancing past the 2nd round of the playoffs, due to lack of $ to increase team depth. I wish Marner success with his new team (except vs Toronto), but I'm far more concerned with building the Leafs properly than worrying about Marner or what other teams' fans think about the Leafs or us as fans.

    So the guy that passed the puck through mathews legs for the 4 nations cup, the guy with the ot winner going through the entire czechia team in ot. The guy who made one of the greatest passes in history to stone earlier in the tournament. The guy with more playoff points than any leaf is the guy who isnt clutch… Apparently 34 having 44 players in the Olympics with the same or better plus minus and 101 other players with as many or more even strength goals is considered great.. Maybe marners problem was passing to a guy that had 2 goals the last 3 playoff series they where eliminated in.
