Born in mid 50's, I haven't been this excited since the 70s dynasty, GHG
If Dobes continues to win, can he not be considered in the running for rookie of the year
The Avs could use some PP help
I don’t expect a big trade I expect a trade that’ll help for now until the next young guys come up
They don't make the playoffs without Laine last year. So he did help them.
Newhook, Danault and Texier all shoot left. I would keep Anderson with Danault and add Texier on the 3rd. Then ease Newhook back in on the 4th with Evans and Gally. Dach stays on the first for now and Veleno sits. My 2¢
It’s obvious that Laine is done with us he’s been practicing with a regular jersey for like a month.
What about Josh Anderson?
My question is why is Veleno on the team? Are we just paying him to do cardio on the ice?
By the way they’re using Arber getting a bottom 4 RHD makes sense.
Or
Upgrading at 2C
Those would be my choices
Schenn Bros would bring some jam, experience and size
Newhook's speed is an intangible on this team that will be very interesting to watch.

Gally with Andy & Danualt works really well
Newhook – Evans – with platooning Bolduc / Texier / Veleno
Dach deserves to play in top 6 whether line 1 or could swap him with Slaf
Both big bodies that can drive puck into ozone, make good passes
Would not change the players in top 6 otherwise unless we get a 2C
What id do is move bolduc, laines contract and struble and try and a strong right handed top 4 dman. Yes they need a 6 but maybe they can find a top 4 making it even better. I feel like they dont have room for a bolduc
After the Olympic break play to display Laine on the powerplay lol hopefully attract a couple trade partners
I have to say that over the last week or so Marcos audio and video have really been problematic. Very jumpy, laggy, and distorted at times. It is either time for a new internet provider or a new video machine.
Guyz! He is staying here and a big asset for us, you guyz always forget he brought us to the playoffs last year… it’s an elite player and we need him
Laine's time here was done during the Was playoff series when the Fab 5 took over PP1. Bye-bye…
Is it normal we have Gally on second waive? Laine is our stricker on second waive
Habs are 2nd in the league in goal scoring. Go get a solid RHD so they don't have to dress Struble or Jackeye who are not good enough.
More Hank please 👍
One thing for sure: Habs have so many forwards they can make a deal easily imo.
I think they should really look to get rid of Laine. I think they should have gotten rid of him this summer… he wasn't worth much after his pretty bad performance towards the end of the season and playoffs… and he's way worse now after injury. I can't imagine any team would want him for his salary. Either way you know as soon as he leaves he will be a superstar wherever he ends up lol.
I feel so bad for Laine, he put in a lot of work over the summer & wanted things to work out here so badly & I wanted to see him light it up this year with Demidov but he didn’t even get a chance because of the injury… really sucks to see an electric player like that have to be collateral damage like this…
I am sure if people are thinking ahead we all want to at least see Hage given a chance on this roster so there is one spot and it is possible Hughes and team have maybe one more player in mind to fit in the roster but imo Hage is a no brainer he SHOULD be on this team once his college hockey is done.
I think you should have had the conversation about Bolduc vs Gallagher vs Anderson. One of those guys has to go. Even if Laine never plays, if he does play, 2 of them have to go. For me, ideal lines would be:
Caufield, Suzuki, Dach
Slaf, Kapanen, Demidov
Newy, Evans, Texier (yes I like Jake more for this line than Phil)
Anderson, Danault, Boldy/Gallagher (these two trading time, giving Brendan more rest days)
And this is if Laine never plays which I'm still not sure is going to be the case. I think you give him one more shot, but I'm sure Marco knows more than I do about what's going on inside the team.
One other thing, people talk about them getting a top 6 guy, my question is "why?". Dach has looked fantastic on the first line and I would never touch that second line. Now if you wanna talk off-season and maybe getting a top-flight UFA maybe the conversation can be had, but right now? Seems totally unnecessary since you'd have to give up a lot of assets to make it happen and where do you even put them?
With Danault, Texier, Newhook. Where does Anderson slot in? Is Bolduc a healthy scratch?
Marco, if Dach is on first line, and your 3rd line is Danault, Newhook, Tessier, and your 4th line is Evans, Bolduc, and Gallagher. Where the hell is Anderson?
I love the Danault, Anderson, Gallagher line. I don't see how you can mess with that. To me, the odd man out is Bolduc. And I'm still not totally sold on Texier. He has been good, but he can also be a bit soft when it comes to digging for the puck. I would not touch Dach on the first line. His best time with the Habs has been with Suzuki and Caufield.
Anderson-Danault- Gallagher is going to be the line.
Texier might end up being the odd man out, he's not quite good enough for our top 6 and I don't see him being good in a checking role, especially in playoffs, I think Veleno would be better. Just my 2cents.
Laine with McDavid would be interesting 😂
I could see Laine with the Canes, they play such a boa constrictor type of game whenever their fast charge first line isn't on the Ice, he could be a pretty good fit there, providing more than decent playmaking on top of being a threat with his canon shot.
Olympics are starting, I want to BEAT the Americans so BAD in Hockey! Go Canada Go! 🍁🏒 🥅🍁
hopwe laine goes , for conditional performance draft pick and asecond if he resigns with thatteam
example 5 rond ick could be 1st ick if he scores … if he resigns , a 3rd rond pick , next year
this show is top quality
Just giving away Laine would be a horrible move. If you can't get an asset for him you keep him for depth in case there is injuries in our top 6 he could jump right in.
caulfield is playing the only spot laine can produce in. But caulfield is much better at it and more versatile.
somebody off of third or fourth line and eat some of the salary to move laine.
Newhook yes….Laine ..bye bye
Laine isn't all that good in todays game apart from a shot….imo
Happy to hear that Laine has played his last game as a Hab. His inability to engage in the game made him a bad fit for our team. Thanks for getting us into the 2025 playoffs, Patrick. Good luck wherever you go.
Marco où est Anderson dans ton alignement, on ne peut pas le sortir. C'est Bolduc qui écope.
the trade of Laine is probably already done. Possibly Calgary plus an asset if no retention. LA for future consideration or Carolina for an AHL player,
Did you guys forget about Anderson? Where does he fit if Texier and Newhook on line 3 and Gallagher plus Bolduc on the 4th line.
I prefer the idea of Habs going after Parayko instead of a top 6. Dach is ok in that role.
Caufield – Suzuki – Dach
Slaf – Kapanen – Demidov
Newhook – Danault – Anderson
Bolduc – Evans – Gallagher
Texier – Veleno
Hutson – Dobson
Matheson – Parayko
Guhle – Carrier
Xhekaj
Where's Anderson on all of this?
