  1. Absolutely, patience is necessary in Reinbachers case. Once healthy, & hopefully for a long long time, it will be necessary to put him into the fray with the big club. That may finally unlock the talent he was picked 5th overall for.

  2. Why is it that the NHL cannot take a right-handed player and make a defenseur out of them? It seems like the team that sets that goal and figures out how to deliver it wins. It cannot be impossible, and someone needs to figure this out.

  3. it wasnt a stacked draft, it was a terrible draft lmao. Go look at the people drafted after him. at MOST like 5 guys youd even consider taking before Reinbacher. The guy doesnt even have to be any better than a 4th defenseman and itll be a good pick. What you guys wanted Michkov??? yeah that pick is looking great right now. Reinbacher is gonna be an excellent 2nd pairing D man. Im not worried.

  4. I would like to see some discussions on the Habs doing a block buster trade. What would you give up for a McDavid or Marner or Rantanen? I just mention these three teams because they have shit draft capital over the next few years. UFA's and RFA's coming out the wazoo, and are already expected to be over Cap. These guys in their late 20's can provide some much needed leadership, get another established point per game guy, they still have at least another 5+ years of quality hockey in them, and honestly clear out of the backlog in our prospect system. I think the only non negotiable is Fowler. And hopefully they take back Laine as part of it. Anyway a fun thought experiment.

  5. of the top 13 picks taken in that draft, Reinbacher is the only one to have not played a single NHL game.

  6. You have to have patience with a guy like that, it's non-negotiable. It breaks down three ways, either they get better and good, they get moved with little to nothing coming back, or the contract expires and you get a contract back. So there's no real reason to move a guy like that if you don't absolutely have to.

  7. Despite Hutson/Dobson, Reinbacher is valuable because he plays big (Dobson, not so much), With Arber we have potential for big hitters on both sides. Guhle is good hitter too, but like Carrier he puts his body at risk too often, thus the long term injuries.

Development staff should be. teaching these guys how to avoid some hits, take some and reverse some to punish the hitter on opposing team.

We don't need too many of the same type of defender, we need a balance and with his size and aggressiveness, Reinbacher. can be a really positive addition. Let him simmer in the A until the best elements of his game are in place, then bring him up to the Habs.

I like Engström as well for his versatility – play either side, can cover for an injured puck carrying/offensive Dman or a stay at home defender. He's a keeper!

  8. Cant trade reinbacher now , wont get anything for him. Should of kept mailoux and traded reinbacher …we all were pissed at the reinbacher draft selection from day 1 ..i was yelling at the tv to take ryan leonard or trade the pic …most of you wanted the russian that went to philly i wasnt sold on him , still not but still better then reinbecher
