DG and Rod Woodson were my favorite corners of the 80’s. DG was so GD fast. He could catch anyone on the field at all times. Great man too from what I’ve heard and read. Thoroughly enjoyed watching him play the game. Wish him all the best. Great show gents!
I get what Darrell is saying and I agree, but some people are just not wired that way. It's not so easy to just turn it on and off. Rice was such a competitor and an overachiever that I guess in his mind he had to have that edge.

I was a HS coach in GA at some pretty high-level schools. I taught and coached at 7 different schools, so I inevitably ran across some coaches from across the field. At first, I was always standoffish. I also learned that was no way to be.
Naw. I can't go with Darrell with that one. As a man he should have had that conversation with Jerry, man to man. It never should have gotten to the media. If Jerry would have kept the same energy, then that's what it is. We don't speak and that's it. No media. I have to question if it was out of character for him. I hope it was.

In a game against a friend with nothing to gain from winning I’m still competitive. When you put money in the mix I’m more competitive. And it doesn’t matter if it’s against a friend or not.
If he wants archeological evidence that refutes the bible, I would start with dinosaurs and the millions of years of assorted fossils from even before dinosaurs. Pretty sure that destroys the bible. Dinosaurs destroyed the bible for me when I was around 8 or 9. 😂

Jerry Rice ignored a lot of people after the game, fans, media, NFL personnel, other NFL players. I can't speak about owners. I just know what I saw.
