5k fine is too me a joke. for most of the players in the league 5k is what? less then what they make in a game? maybe less then what they make in a period… Like i mean Helm makes an average of 3,85 million a year! 5k is nothing to him…
So what is the point of a fine if it to most player doesn't affect them even the slightest? I would rather see that they made like the fine like 1% of the annual value of that persons contract, that would impact every player the same. For the entry level guys to the superstars. And to take Helm as an example 1% of the annual value of his contract would have been 38,5k.
What do you think about the prospect of Puljujarvi being reunited with Aho and playing on a fantastic fin line of teravainen aho puljujarvi?

Puljujärvi might be good option to try for Canes if they can get him cheap. He could benefit from the many Finns in the roster since his English is pretty limited. I think he had hard time connecting with the guys in Edmonton because of the language barrier.

If I'm Dubas I'm calling up Carolina and offering Kapanen+Ceci+Pick and trying to get one of their RHD, preferably Pesce. Unlikely to happen with just those pieces but it could be a good foundation. Kapanen is great and has more potential to grow but he's become expendable to the Leafs who have an abundance of Top 9 wingers. Offering Ceci also gives Carolina a warm body to replace Pesce and who knows he is still young enough to maybe turn it around, especially if gets on whatever black magic they are using on the rest of Carolina's D core

Lindholms elbow was very cowardly, in this day of concussions he should’ve been disciplined in some way also. I didn’t feel sorry for him at all.

Helm slew-footed Lindholm on the face off which started the whole thing. Anyone saying the elbow could have caused a concussion, a slew- foot can do that too if you bounce your head off the ice. The slash was to the back of the knee where there's no padding, so basically the same as a spear which would probably be at minimum a max fine or suspension.
What are you mostly eating these days, Shannon? I agree with you, you can totally be indulgent and be healthy as long you avoid the processed stuff, make a nice spaghetti bolognese yourself rather order take out for example.

I lost 37 pounds cutting carbs… not completely… you need carbs. But I increased my fat intake, lowered my carbs and rarely counted calories. It was basically a Keto diet I guess but I didnt go No carbs. Dropped 37lbs in about 2 months. Got on an eliptical every other day cause its easier on my knees and you burn the same amount of calories (if youre counting) as you do on a treadmill. It was surprisingly easy and Im never hungry. Good job on your weight loss.
