I'm a Bruins fan and I love Edwards and Brickley, but the way they called this play is just awful it's clear that Ference did have a ton of speed but he also did intentionally hit him from behind into the boards, a disgraceful hit.  And for all you Bruins' haters saying we have no class right when McDonagh  goes down to the ice Krecji tries to make sure he is ok, so ya they do have class just not all of them have the same amount as the others.
Jack and Andy are a joke. "Thought he had enough of an angle to make 'a little' contact." Yeah, charging towards a guys numbers from the blue line and slamming him without even remotely slowing down is "a little" contact. These idiots are pathetic. "Didn't look like a lot of malice to me, and I don't just say that because we cover the Bruins." Yeah OKAY, according to them, the Bruins haven't thrown a single dirty hit in their history, everything just seems worse than it was because of BS logistics.
"He thought he had enough, or not a whole lot of contact, but it was the momentum and let's see if he gets him by the numbers. He's trying to get a good angle, I am not sure if McDonaugh was uh planted, uh with a good base, he went in awkwardly with the boards. It doesn't look like there was a whole lot of malice there to me, Jack."
Wow. From a Bruins fan I would just love to say WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT! I love Boston and I can tolerate the announcers, they do piss me off sometimes and I understand people not liking them. Now I can really understand why people do not. That was intent all day. It's like the Ference/Halpern incident, except he actually got a major for it here. Ference was a tough guy for his size though, he could lay a good hit and even drop the mitts. I remember seeing him break Adam Burish cheek bone in a toe to toe scrap against Dallas the season that the Bruins won the cup. This here though, only people who have played hockey understand why these things happen, it is easier for spectators to say this and that about it, but if you have been there in their skates and on that ice, you would know that once you get some speed on your skates trouble is a brewing.
That hit wasn't that bad, but coupled with the fact that McDonagh's already starting to go down to circle the net (shifting of his weight and balance), made it a bad situation!!!

big time bruins fan, and a ference fan, but no excuse for this hit
LOL, fuck you and good for you McDonut! 🙂
People don't like the announcers well you can't stop them because you don't have enough power they have and they do it for money

Hey Brinkley you stupid fuck that's why you don't hit guys from behind at that speed
McDonagh just lets himself go to draw a penalty — the Alexei Emelin patented move.
haha he doesn't say that cause he covers the bruins? your not fooling anybody. Â Homers
Bruins announcers becoming physicists on trying to explain away a bad hit. Â
Rangers won this game with seconds left after 3 shots at Rask.
Its werid almost like ference matured once he was on edmontons roster funny.
Hit from behind and boarding. Ference doesn't even play like this in Edmonton which proves Bruins are a bunch of assholes
oops. bad hit. move on. sometimes that happens. 5 minute penalty. move on.

These announcers, lol! What a joke.
These announcers suck. Yeah you are saying that because you cover the Bruins. What a homer!

who won that game
Lol just like a bruins player 🙄😂😅
Awful hit.
That’s more a boarding call than a charging call
It was interference, he got what he deserved.
That stuff( interference) is ruining the game. Either go get the puck or get out of the way.
Where the back problems started lol

You know what would've been more dangerous, if mcdonagh reversed the hit
terrible hit
Boston announcers suck.
Bruins fan here. Even Krecji knew this was a dirty hit. You can see him immediately check in on McDonagh.
