Bruins Trade Reports ESCALATING… Report Reveals MAJOR Update | Boston Bruins News
Boston Bruins trade reports are continuing to escalate as the familiar names have been once again thrown into multiple trade proposals including Casey Middle, Pavle Zaka, and one interesting name has emerged coming from one team in specific that we’re going to be breaking down here in this video. We’re also going to be touching on Charlie Makavoy as a former NHL defenseman has come out and voiced his opinion on the importance of Charlie Makavoy to this Boston Bruins team. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot to break down here in this video. And if you’re looking for a spot for all of your Boston Bruins, be sure to hit the sub button. We’re keeping you updated throughout this entire summer as we head into a very interesting next season for the Boston Bruins. We also noticed that just over 60% of you guys watching right now have not hit that sub button. But we got to get straight into this because we got a lot of reports coming out, continuing to come out surrounding about three familiar names who have been in the trade market for the Boston Bruins. And the Bruins have been tra taking many trade calls over the last little while. Oh, and I first wanted to go ahead and pull up this right here from Jeff Merrick. He appeared on the Sakaras and Price podcast and thinks that Sweeney might be cooking up a move or two soon. He mentioned two unsurprising names in Pavo Zaka and Casey Middlestat as players who could be moved and are likely drawing interest from other clubs. Last week, one hockey analyst linked the Vancouver Canucks to both Zaka and Middlestat as possible options to fill the need for the second line center. Whether or not something gets done remains to be seen, but you can bet uh you can bet the closer we get to the season beginning, the more rumors are going to be out there. So, we have a few things to take away from this. First of all, of course, Jeff Merrick, who is a very sketchy insider. You know, he does he does have quite a bit of stuff right every now and then, but also kind of starts talking out of his ass sometimes. But coming on here and talking about Pavazaka and Casey Middlestat thinking that there is one or two moves being made is not something new but definitely something reassuring seeing from another insider. And the fact that we’ve already seen this from multiple different people and adding Jeff Merrick to this and at this point now I think in my opinion at least is just more of a confirmation that there are indeed several trade calls going down for both of these players. Now, the second half of this regarding the Vancouver Conucks is another very interesting side of things here because when you do take a look at the Canucks being linked to both and you go and take a look at what the Bruins lines currently are, if you trade Zaka and Middlestat to, you know, any team, but in this case, the Vancouver Canucks, you’re really getting rid of your entire second line because Victor Arbertson just getting here. Still don’t know if he will start on the second line. I feel like the closer we get now and the more uh you know still we see on the offensive side of things regarding moves, the more I think Victor Arbertson will start there. But getting rid of both of these players regard you know let alone one would cause a major issue for this Bruins second line for a team that you know are in the middle of a rebuild. Now are we going to be going this season to go back to wins? Is this season going to be another mediocre one? I still think that this team right now can absolutely have the success on the offensive side of the puck and the defensive side if everybody remains healthy. The playoffs may be a little bit of a stretch, but the fact that I think they can get close to the playoffs is obviously a big thing regardless. So seeing you get rid of pretty much your entire second line for whoever it is on the Vancouver Conucks. They don’t really have any players in return that would be suitable for this Bruins second line. And the fact that they’re trying to go and acquire both of these players, to me at least, also means that they’re trying to get ready to get to a deeper playoff run. And that means they wouldn’t be giving up any NHL ready players, which the Bruins would need in return. So, this is a move that the Bruins would be in on a bit of an interesting decision where they will decide to kind of forfeit the season nearly or come out here and try and get something in return. Now, when we do go take a look at the Vancouver Canucks offensive lines here, there is really not anybody that interests me too much here. And you go ahead and take a look at their top two lines. You have Neil Hogland, Elias Person, Brock Besser, Jake De Brusk, Philip Pedal, and Vander Kane going on. They’re trying to add to that second line. So whether that means moving Filipedel down or getting him out of Vancouver is really uncertain. And I want to see if any Vancouver fans watching this video right now know what your plan is because I’ve tried to do my research, but you know, I’m not in tune. and I don’t have my ear to the ground with the Vancouver Conucks. So, what would be your guys kind of return for both of these two? Would it be Picks? Would it be someone else? There are a few prospects and one that I’m going to talk about here in a moment really piques my interest as someone that would help the Bruins not just now but well into the future. And, you know, Atarati is one of those players. You have Connor Garland who’s on this third line. I feel like this Vancouver Canucks team has so many possible moving parts, but none of which I see coming on this roster, at least right now, coming to the Boston Bruins in return for a trade. Now, one player in specific really does peique my interest, and that’s Jonathan Laramaki. And going to see him as a possible option right now, currently being in the press box on Puckedia for this Vancouver roster, not being in the lineup. And you’re looking at his percentiles there as a projected second line forward at this point. For as young as he is, as good as he is, and how incredible of a shot he has, this is a player that really interests me. Now, when you take a look, you know, hockey IQ 90, shot 96, compete consistency 93, offensive zone starts 95, power play 95. He really fits the bill for what the uh the Boston Bruins would be looking for in any sort of player coming back. And as you kind of go and take a look at what he would do compared to the Bruins current roster, you get rid of Casey Middlestat, you know, you get rid of Pavle Zaka, and especially if both those go in the same trade, you’re going to need to get a very good return coming back your way. You know, that’s not a team that or that’s not a player that or a group of players you just let walk for nothing. Those two players have a major impact on this Bruins team right now. Pavo Zaka more than Casey Middlestat, but you cannot afford to just give those players up for nothing. So, if I am the Bruins and this is what they’re asking for the Canucks are, I’m asking for Jonathan Laramaki in return. Due to how good he is and how good he will be, uh, from what we’ve seen thus far from the World Juniors, from his short tenure with the Canucks, the Abbottzford Canucks, he is a player that really fits the bill for the Boston Bruins if you’re looking for the future of this team. So I want to know what you guys think here in the comments below as well. Kind of going into how you think this Bruins team would really kind of change with the two trades regarding Casey Middlestat and Pavo Zaka uh that are being reported right now and especially where the Canucks are looking at both of those players and being on the same importance of next season. We have a quote coming out from a former NHL defenseman based off of what’s going on right now with Charlie Makavoy. And this is who and what he had to say. Thomas Hickeyi, the former NHL defenseman. You talk about the importance of a hockey team. He uh the Brewers go as he goes. And that’s what Thomas Hickey said on uh the NHL Network about Charlie Makavoy saying he’s got some snarl, he’s got some edge, he’s a big guy, he’s strong, but what stands out most to me when I watch him play is the confidence. He exudes it all over the ice. And this is a pretty kind of uh big note coming out here. Of course, Thomas Hickeyi, not the most illustrious career, but a very solid defenseman in his time. And of course, still a very important part of this team is Charlie Makavoy. And as we know right now at least going into this upcoming season, the Bruins will no longer have a captain. As Brad Marshon traded last season, they’re not rushing their way into a new captain. But we can really take it down into two pieces. Whether that be Charlie Makavoy, whether it be David Potchnock, whatever of the two come out here is going to be uh, you know, a win regardless for this Bruins team. and the fact that Charlie Makavoy has been getting more praise as of late after his injuries last season coming into this off seasonason. We’re going to see how important he really was to this team before he went out last year with that injury. And we’re going to see what we’re missing. And at 27 years old, still being, you know, one of the best defenseman in the NHL. He’s been a guy that has been every year getting better, getting smarter, getting stronger, being more important to this team and having, you know, you be that number one defenseman on your team and kind of leading the charge here, not even just on the defensive side of things, but on the ice as well. You get to see that similarity between him and David Poshock in that instance. And especially going over the the seasons, you see every year he’s really gotten better. And of course, 23 24 and 24 25. the point total dropped a bit last year was due to injury, but over that over the games that he’s played, you know, has missed a few to injury for quite a, you know, pretty much every season actually. He’s been a very important player on this team every time he’s been out there. So, the fact that we’re getting this Charlie Makavoy love and kind of people are shouting him out once again is very good. Obviously, it doesn’t seem like we’ve been getting that quite a bit, but now is a time that, you know, we need to see it. When this Bruins team is down, you’re getting people like this taking a new lead for the team. And I think that this is a great instance for Charlie Makavoy, a great mindset kind of heading into the season. You know, the fact that people are coming out here and saying, you know, we don’t actually recognize how important is to this team. So, I want to know what you guys think about this, how that kind of will impact his thought process coming over this season and if we’ll see a different kind of Charlie Makavoy, especially now taking more of a captain role on this team. But I’m also want to know what you guys think about that Vancouver Conucks report. Do you think they’re going to get both? And who would you want in return for a trade if they’re asking for both? because I’ll tell you what, it will not be cheap. But that is all I have in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. I’m signing out though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day.
